[ ... Naoya had agreed to continue their lessons--that was, teaching Matthew about computers. With Saya presumably gone (though both of them checked the coral frequently, even if neither would admit it), they needed a distraction. And, plots to solve Vatheon aside, this provided one, as well as helped Matthew ascertain what he was to be looking for when he would be sneaking around later.
And so Naoya called him, leaving a message to meet him at a nearby café that morning, and got them a table. A round one, with plenty of space for two or even three people. He'd already made himself at home with coffee, and was tapping away at his own laptop, waiting for Matthew to show up with his, which he'd gotten for him.
For now, he was... content, at least, to distract himself. They'd gotten a table by the window, since they weren't going to discuss business today, and since today was just... going to be one of those slow, easy days.
