The quiet, pleasantness of Vatheon was painful to Nodoka. It felt like no one cared that people were leaving, with holes in the hearts of the people that were left. Of course she knew that wasn't the case - everyone was suffering the losses, she couldn't deny it - but she wished there was more she could do. She wished there was something she could do to make the pain of it go away.

Her eyes lit up a little during her walk, spotting one of her remaining friends. She noted the chocolates and sweets in his hands and laughed, moving forward and into his line of sight. "Red-san!" She called, accompanied by a little wave.

The incredibly familiar voice was enough to halt Red's feet. He blinked once, then turned his head around, just in time to see Nodoka move in front of him. He can't help a better smile at seeing a dear friend like her. It's definitely a good presence to add to the day.

That's right. It might've been hard lately, but Red knew that he had to stay focused. Even though it hurts to know that some people were no longer around with them, they're still not alone. And while remembering this, Red had to make sure that he spent his time well with those who are still here. He can still do something. He can do his best for them, because he wants everyone to smile again.

"... Hey, Nodoka," he greeted her back with that smile. But hey, since he was just thinking about sharing sweets again, he moved the Pocky box nearer Nodoka to indicate that he's offering her some.

She feels her face warm at the greeting - she couldn't help it. Even though Red was her friend (and, of course, nothing more - that was reserved for a taller, more demonic boy) her natural reaction around the male sex was a fluid, red blush. Her eyes flicker up to Pikachu and she gives the small creature a smile before Red moves, offering her a pocky.

Nodoka still isn't used to this - this giving and receiving thing where people shared, especially boys. It was so different when you were all girls in a boarding school; sharing was second nature. But with other people? It was just a little weird. She smiled as best she could, though, reaching out to take one of the sweets and nibbling at the end. Her face lit up, of course, because they tasted so nice.

"Thank you," Nodoka said softly. "How are you, Red-san? I - It's been a while..."

Red and Pikachu shared their own smiles. They both are amused at how adorable Nodoka can actually be. Red had the urge to pat her head, but he didn't want to be rude or anything. He may be a little slow sometimes, but he does remember that girls don't really like to be touched that easily...!

Pikachu squeaked out happily when Nodoka ate the Pocky and liked it. He's so happy to be able to spend time with Nodoka again, too. It has truly been a while.

"Oh," Red perked a little at her question, meanwhile. He let out a tiny laugh shortly before he continued to talk, "Yeah, it has... Hasn't it? I'm glad to be able to talk to you personally again, Nodoka."

He paused a little, then moved his other hand to adjust his hat.

"And I'm all right, thanks... I guess I've been a bit busier lately, ever since the Welcoming Committee started up. How about you, Nodoka?"
