Ed has never seen a bird this large in his life, so don't mind him as he just stares in an odd mixture of amazement, surprise and trying to figure out how it's supporting its own weight so easily on those two legs. Was it some kind of chimera crossbreed of a horse and chicken? Because it definitely was the size of one...

One of the chocobos had apparently noticed the newcomer and it stalked its long legs across to him, lowering its beak to ruffle at his hair - probably attracted by the colour!

Selphie watched the wandering bird and followed after to see what it found so interesting. And there she found him, "Hi!"

To take her mind off the ridiculous shitstorm her friends were causing so soon after her arrival, Kanaya decided to do a bit of exploring during the day, when most of her fellow trolls would more likely be inside or asleep.

Having come across a barn filled with strange feather-beasts she stopped and stared at them curiously, holding out a hand to one straying near to her - perhaps a little foolishly.

Fortunately, the chocobo that approached her was a friendly one (after all, it had just been fed) and it nodded slowly at the hand, beak pecking lightly.

Smiling, she moved her hand up to pet at the oddly friendly feather-beast. "Hello," she said, greeting it thoughtlessly, "What manner of creature might you be?"

Ta da! Selphie practically jumps out from behind the chocobo, her hand stroking another as she looked at the...person? "It's a chocobo! Isn't he cute?"

When Demyx had seen Sora around these creatures, he had been here in a metaphorical heartbeat. After a few hours, he's even managed to befriend one! Sort of. The one he's dubbed 'Sanders' is currently dragging him around by the hood of his coat with a pair of chicks nestled safely in his hair.

"--eck! C'mon, dude! Where are you taking me?"

Selphie just watched from where she was singing to some chocobos and couldn't help but laugh at the spectacle Demyx was making of himself. "Whoa, babies, whoa!"

She called out for the chocobo to slow down, but she wouldn't mind still watching.

Luckily that slows the bird down just enough to where the Nobody is able to regain some sense of balance. Who'd have thought he'd get manhandled by a bird?

Whoops. Tripped over his own boots. Commence the dragging!

Selphie laughed softly, running after Sanders and trying to reach him to slow him down. "Whoa!" She made soft clucking noises, still giggling as she ran.

"Waaaaaaaah..." Usagi's eyes are wide with curiosity as she stands close to the pen fence for the chocobos. She's kind of hanging on the wooden fence, just watching those majestic creatures walk around, 'kweh'ing softly.

"They're so huge!"

And then Selphie appears, just out of nowhere, her hand brushing down the back of one of the smaller chocobos. "Hii~~ They are! Do you like them?"

Selphie smiled at Usagi, because of course there was no way anyone couldn't love a chocobo.

On any other occassion, Usagi would be totally freaked out that someone came out of nowhere when she wasn't expecting it, however, the large birds seem to have her attention completely.. not to mention it was a friendly face that was speaking! "I do! I do!"

Selphie smiled and motioned towards the gate for the pen, "Wanna come in and see them? They're real nice and they're happy cause they've just been fed! Wanna groom them with me?"

Selphie disappears from into the crowd of chocobos to find a spare brush in the barn.

Locke had only recently heard that there were chocobos in the city, but he had finally made his way to the stable.

He couldn't believe the comfort the sight of the yellow birds brought him. He hadn't really been a cocobo fan back home, prefering to look at them then ride them, but it was still nostalgic.

"Hey there, boys and girls, arn't you all a sight for sore eyes?"

Selphie laughed as her face appeared between a small crowd of chocobos - she'd been crouched to groom the hind legs of one of the birds.

"Aren't they just?"

Locke jumped a bit, he hadn't noticed her there.

"Hi, Selphie. Do you want some help?"

As much as he and cocobo riding didn't mix, he still loved interacting with them.

Selphie laughed at his jumping and nodded her head, "Sure! Come on in!"

She pointed towards the little gate and turned back to singing at one of them, watching it dance as she groomed it carefully.
