Adrian knew... as soon as Alucard had left he had felt a huge emptiness in his heart. The worries of the common folk in Vatheon mattered not to him now, no... Without his father here he felt hollow, empty. In his time away his thoughts had most often gone to his surrogate father in this cursed underwater city and now, to see him for just a moment before his being taken away again... No, it was too heart-breaking for the young dhampire to take.
He kept to himself, keeping away from the screaming crowds and the battle cries, the word of ghosts and pirates did not move him to leave the mansion where they had been together once. What did it matter now... What did anything matter, he thought, falling into his own personal Hell. An endless drop into an abyss of doom.
Nobody would think to come into the dark, lightless room underground... And Adrian did not want to see anyone either, he was pale, hungry and broken beyond all reason.
