Her eyes are closed and she smiles slightly in her sleep. At first glance, she looks the same but on closer inspection, her face has the characteristics of her growing into a young woman. Time has passed since the last time she was here...

Well this wasn't someone he'd expected to encounter. She looked like someone of his own time, just arrived given the wetness of her clothing. Given the presence of the pirates, he would need to wake her or at least carry her to safety.

Kenshin knelt down and nudged her gently on the shoulder. "Priestess, are you well?"

Kagome curled up and remained quiet. At the touch of her shoulder she shifted in the bed, "Nynnn."

He nudged her gently once again. "My lady, this location is unsafe. I shall take you to safety."

She shifted even more. "Nynnn." She blinks her eyes and sits up. "Who are you? Where's Inuyasha!?" She blinks her eyes as his face came back. They spoke...once before. "We...we've met?" She blinks again and shakes her head. "We're in Vatheon?"

"I am Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo," he replied with a nod. He didn't recall speaking with any priestesses, though she did look familiar. "Indeed we are presently in Vatheon."

"I kind-of remember you. I think we spoke before." She stared around her in surprised. "I...remember. I've been here before." She shakes her head. She had been gone for three years, but it doesn't feel as though that much time has passed.

"You do seem familiar," Kenshin agreed, "though I do not recall speaking with a priestess, especially one who dons the attire of my own world." He paused for a moment. "How much time has passed since you last were here?"

Kagome smiled at him. "You too." Her eyes widened as she glanced down at her attire. "I uhh was usually dressed in a white and green school outfit. Recently, I started wearing this since I started living in that time." She was trying hard to give him an explanation without having to explain the whole time jumping thing. "I know in my time it was three years. Here, I guess it wasn't long at all."

"School outfit." Well that was a foreign idea. "The colors do sound familiar." And truthfully he didn't have much of an idea what she was talking about, as noted by the confusion crossing his soft features.

"It could only have been a short duration for Vatheon, as I have only resided in Vatheon for a month." The more he learned of this world, the more bizarre he found it to be.

She smiled at him and decided not to touch on the school outfit part. She saw the confusion and she sighed. "I'm from modern Japan but I'm able to return to Feudal Era because of a sacred well in my family's land." Well that's...close enough without going into major details.

"You were here for a month and then you returned to your time?" It seems as if most people leave here, only to return. It must be a curse or something.

"I see," Kenshin noted. He was growing more accustomed with the idea of different times, even though to him, the feudal era was modern Japan. "You originate from my own future." It was an interesting idea she told him. Traveling between times.

"I have remained here for the duration of the month, not once returning home." Pity. He would've liked to have returned home, even if it were to simply ensure Echigo's well being.

She smiles at him. He didn't seem surprised and he wasn't staring at her, like she was crazy. "Yes but now I live in the Feudal Era."

"Oh you have been here for a month. I...I'm sorry. Maybe one day you'll return home."

Kenshin was generally a calm person. He'd seen some strange stuff here, much of what he couldn't begin to explain. Time jumping between his own time and hers wasn't outside of reason anymore.

"I hope I shall as well," Kenshin nodded. He had faith in his army, but he was still worried about their well-being. He offered his hand to help her up. "I do hope your new home has treated you well."

She's probably glad about that, since she was still surprised that he was so calm about it.

"I'm sure you will." Kagome smiled at him. "Time doesn't pass in our times," she said hoping that it might make him feel better. She knew that it was a major worry for her before she had returned and realized it. "Uhh...yeah I guess you can say that."

"Those words bring me great relief," Kenshin admitted. To know Echigo would remain safe during his absence was a great relief.

"Are you in service to a lord?" Curiosity did ask. A poor lord would explain a poor experience.

She smiles at him. She figured that they would. "I'm glad."

"To a lord?" She looks confused. "No..not at all."
