[He ran up to that familiar face...er, armor, witnessing a display of magic which he wasn't familiar with. You totes gotta teach him some new tricks, dad.]

What is going on?!

[Hey, do with what you got, right? He'll totally teach you when it's safe again, son.]

No idea. These guys started popping up from the ship, I think.

[Firing off another spell. This time it's just a Fission Firaga.]

Pirates. [He summons Bond of Flames which Sora had given him the keychain to at Christmas time.] And not the kind you see in Neverland.

[He wished they were. Handling cannon-happy failures would be much more tolerated than blood thirsty ghost pirates.]

Yeah. I'd go for the cannon-happy fail, any day.

[C'mon, son! Help your dad out! He has his back to you now, Roxas. Best way to fight this kind of mob is back to back.]

[Unlike some, it seems his other is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. But the more troubling aspect of this is the light that Ventus carries- the light that he himself had warned his other would be crushed in whole by such a darkness. And it was quite clear that he had been accurate on this account, slicing down pirates which seem to flood the area his other is currently fighting in. Little fool.]

[Luckily enough for Ventus, Vanitas knows how to even the score. Even as an explosion rocks his sight, casting him in high profile, smile wide, dangerous and insane with blood-thirst and greed, the Unversed are also filtering through the small area, each attacking in their own way, even if only to distract the pirates attention enough to allow him access to Ventus' side.]

Blow me up and I'm leaving you here.

[Okay... that smile was pretty creepy. He only caught a glimpse of it while he was fighting, helmet keeping himself from being blinded momentarily and giving just enough time to slice one behind him across the abdomen.]

[There was no running from the darkness you warned him about when it sneaks into your very apartment complex, man. Sure, he's a bit frustrated, but... He holds up his Keyblade again, catching some of the pirates in a Tornado spell while suddenly finding Vanitas at his side; the Unversed are completely untouched by the winds.]

Wouldn't dream of it, Vanitas.

[He knows what would happen if he tried that, and doesn't feel like adding one more person to the target list with so many phantasms on the prowl.]

[It's likely that his other would have been able to hold up without him; likely, but not assured. And Vanitas is hacking down any pirate that dares to come too close, darkness pulsating with a warning that has even these foolish ghosts and ghouls wary, hesitating before entering that ring of space Vanitas has claimed as his own only to meet their untimely end.]

[A sneer of acknowledgement, and Vanitas begins to pull his other down the street, holding on only long enough to make sure he's moving with him before letting go and concentrating on the masses around them.]

You're going to the safehouse. No complaints.

[Likely, yes. And damn it all, he wasn't going to just sit by and do nothing!]

[Ven's firing off spell after spell while Vanitas takes care of those up close, begrudgingly following as he picks up the pace and slices another in half.]

No way. I'm not going to just sit by again and watch other people get killed!

[I'm not a little kid! is in there somewhere, but not spoken aloud.]

She's running through and shooting off her arrows as she hears the mine square. She moves even more as she continues to watch.

"Hey what are you doing?"

Ventus doesn't stop, but takes into account that another person is here and thus holds back a bit so they don't get hurt. However, the calling was enough to distract and cause him to get hit in the face. His helmet cracks, but the pirate had another thing coming to his: a Blizzaga spell.

"What's it look like?" he replies, ripping off his shattered helmet and 'accidentally' impaling another pirate through the abdomen with it's points. "Kicking pirate butt!"

She winced as the pirate seemed to hit him in the face. She watched as another seemed to come from behind him. She quickly drew, aimed and released her arrow and watched it fly.

She moves closer to him. "Need some help?" She fires another and kills it as it seemed to be closing in on him.

Ven nods faintly, casting a Fira spell at another pirate that was coming up behind Kagome. "You take long range, I'll get the ones who come in too close!"

How troublesome ... *And if you're heading towards the coral-like residence area, you might see this guy backing up against the gate, holding what looks to be a set of ... forks in his hands. But he is surrounded and would really like some help.

Right about now.

... Please?*

[Luckily enough for you, Japan, he is heading to said area. He sees him backing up against the gate and... was that forks he was trying to protect himself with? Oh dear.]

[He rushes forward, pointing his Keyblade toward the sky and ensnaring the pirates in a Transcendence spell and sending them flying all around the place from within the antimatter sphere.]

You okay?

*Whoa. So little kids can summon magic from ... giant keys. Huuuuh. Wasn't there something like that he created with America-san. Kingdom Kokoro - not that wasn't it.

A-anyway, he can ponder that about later, because there is one lucky ghost pirate who escaped the tornado of magical doom. Before he can approach them however, Japan is quick to throw a sharp fork in its head. It plops over promptly.*

- Yes, thank you very much for your help.

[Yep, and he was told about that brain break by a certain ghost America created. Kingdom Hearts, by the way.

Oh, shoot, just one got away. Way to go, fork man! /shot]

You're welcome. Um... You might need a better weapon than a fork.

So you can handle yourself. Well done.

[As a pirate runs out from an alley to attack him, he snaps his fingers, setting the man aflame. It's a quick death.]

Told you I could.

[Not like his friends believed him, but hey... What can you do when they only see you as the comatose, memoryless kid?]

[No matter, though, because another pirate that just tried attacking him from behind got a taste of an Aeroga spell, being spun around in the torrent violently before getting slammed into a nearby building.]

Good enough.

[He smirks, watching the boy. An interesting form of fighting.]

They came from that... huge... ship, right?

[So is snapping your fingers and having your enemy burst into flames, but he'll gape in awe once these guys are toast.]

That's my guess. [Taking a break for a moment while the pirates are distracted by a Tornado spell. Yep. yawn.]

And here I thought I was going to get a little rusty...
