[Days after the sudden insanity that brewed earlier in the week, Kefka decided to spend some time around the Lamufao to see if he could get it running again. Just as he has told Sir Hellsing, Kefka believed that the coral reef feeds off of magic. The more magic it consumes, the stronger the barrier around Vatheon becomes. This was just a theory, of course, but Kefka felt as if this theory of his was sound.
That's why if Kenshin notices an odd little clown walking along the edges of the coral reef, he shouldn't be too alarmed.]
[ How could he not notice someone dressed as eccentric as himself? Kenshin peers around the corner, then moves to the side to address the unusual person. ]
The coral is a strange entity, is it not? Only one half seems to respond at all.
[ Kenshin simply returned with a soft, calm expression. ]
Indeed we are. Certainly this is a symptom of the ship's sudden arrival several nights ago. I do wonder what can be done to repair such an injury, if anything at all.
[Motochika approaches, his shamisen braced over a shoulder and his bachi in hand. With such an ominous atmosphere the idea of going about unarmed wasn't even considered. He follows Kenshin's gaze as he comes to stand beside the other daimyo.]
It's strange to see the coral so damaged. I had thought it impervious to harm.
I had suspected such might be the reason behind such a sudden arrival of a ship was indeed an invasion, but I have yet to see any invasive forces. Was the prior invasion marked by the arrival of a ship as well?
[ Kenshin glances over, watching the figure come into view ]
It manifested around the same time the ship crashed into the bubble. Quite a mystery. [ then again, Kenshin hadn't quite figured out how it snowed in a bubble either... ]
The fog presents such a hindrance. Poor visibility, easy to mistake one thing for another.

Eh?
[Kefka glanced down towards the fanciful dressed warrior with an raised eyebrow.]
Strange isn't the right word for it! It's downright weird if ya ask me, but I guess we're lucky that half of the Lamufao still works.

Until now, the coral has appeared invulnerable? Perhaps this is a result of the sudden arrival of this vacant ship.

The whole of Vatheon quaked, which happened once before. The barrier was breached then, too. A week long invasion followed.

[He gestured with his hand, to the air around them.]
All this fog I mean. Hard to understand where exactly its coming from.
[Taking a step closer in Kenshin's direction, his own image becoming more clear from the misty air that surrounds them.]
My guess would be a change in temperature, or, perhaps, an underwater volcano of some variety.
