[Oh hello cute tiny yellow creature on Red's shoulder? Going to stop and stare at you now. Blinks once....

[She continued to stare at it and when it spoke again a smile crept it's way across her face.]

H-He's so tiny! [And cute. She gently reached her hand out towards him, hoping to get a pet or two in.]

[Pikachu didn't seem to mind her reaching out to him. he stayed still and allowed Alice to pet him! in fact, he's enjoying it. he makes a few happy Pikasqueaks~]

Yeah... I love him a lot.

[She eyed Pikachu carefully. Alice, being Alice, was a bit wary of the creature. Simply because it was new to her and she didn't like not knowing about things. And this was something she didn't quite understand, which didn't make her too pleased. But. He was so cute! She couldn't help but let her smile return as he stayed still so that she could give him a little attention.

After Red's comment Alice blinked and retracted her hand, turning her attention back to him.]

You do?

Probably the same reason why -you're- so cute. : D

[Pikachu just sat still on Red's shoulder, even after Alice removed her hand. but after hearing Red admit that he loved him, it made the little Pokemon giggle a bit.]

Pii~ [decided to rub his cheek on Red's now~]

... Yeah. [Red smiled to this, moving a hand of his to rub the top of Pikachu's head] I grew up with him.

[Alice opened her mouth to speak... but she didn't know what to say. Hearing Red talk about Pikachu made her think about Cheshire... and it made remember how she couldn't remember. She didn't have anyone with her that she could refer to as a little friend that she grew up with. She couldn't even remember the one she'd had. Such a subject is always a bit sensitive for Alice.]

Oh...

[Quietly, she was jealous of Red and Pikachu... but she wouldn't voice that opinion to him.]

So he's going to be coming with us to the restaurant?

[he caught that look. he's extra good in perceiving these things... but he merely smiled and then placed a hand on top of Alice's head. he feels bad that she is jealous, but that's something that he can't help... however, he is here with her. and that will not change.]

... I hope you don't mind, Alice. I'm sure that Pikachu would like to get to know you, too.

[She blushed slightly as he placed his hand on top of her head. she pouts up to him and then over to Pikachu on his shoulder.]

.... Okay, [She was willing to try and ignore the bitter jealous feelings welling up inside of her for Red's sake. He was too important to her for her to decide otherwise.] I don't mind.

[there's a smile to that, then moved his arm to wrap around Alice's shoulders with an encouraging smile.]

Right. Let's go, then. The meat is waiting for you.

[And Alice would have had time to comment on Red's arm around her shoulders--- if he hadn't of mentioned meat directly afterwords. Thus causing her to simply nod enthusiastically as she let her stomach lead the way towards the lower district.]

[just as planned. Red just smiled away as he followed Alice to the restaurant she mentioned...]

[While they were walking Alice glanced around at all the different people passing by. There certainly were a lot of people out and about this evening! She wondered why that was? Alice wasn't aware of the celebration of New Years Eve, back at home such a thing had never really occurred to her... and if it had at any point during her past, she didn't remember it.

It wasn't hard not to notice the decorations and signs that seemed to be hung up all around Vatheon, welcoming in the new year. She also noticed many people seemed to be carrying around a bright yellow package that read "Fire Works" in bold print on the side, but she didn't know what those were either. Maybe it was food? If so then this was definitely something she didn't want to miss out on!]

Hey, Red? What are fire...works?

[after Alice was distracted by that sign, Red turned his head to glance at it as well.]

... Fireworks are explosives. But they're colorful and pretty. They get shot up the sky, and when they explode, different colors and patterns would light up.

[busagi]

[She wrinkled her nose slightly in confusion. She had never heard of such an odd thing. Why would someone create something so useless?]

Is that all they do? Why would people need things like that?
