[As it nears midnight, Lily runs from her room to the back entrance of the Apartment complex. As midnight arrives, she swings the door open happily, letting the old year out--A tradition in Britain.
If she see's you, she'll respond in one of two ways.
1) If you're a dark haired male, she'll call you over excitedly. "Excuse me, sir! Could you do something for me? It's trivial, really, but if I'm going to do something traditionally, it should be done properly."
2) Anyone else she sees--be it from inside or outside the apartment building--She'll give a cheery smile, hand them a small twig of mistletoe, and wish them a Happy New Year.
And as the final stroke of midnight approaches, she'll go and open the front door as well, to welcome the New Year in. It's as they say: Out with the old, in with the new.]
