[ It took her a few hours, but Rian managed to touch and feel her way to the park - and that is where she sits, alone, her head held high; if her eyes were open it would be as though she was staring off into the distance.

[Red was just coincidently passing by as he was doing his Christmas shopping. he wasn't aware of the current curse that was going around, simply because he wasn't affected by it. that sudden apology had caught his ears, and when he looked around him... there's no one else around?]

What's wrong?

[ She gasps, stiffening, and she turns her heard towards the voice. Of course, she recognises it, but she's so confused by everything right now. ]

Red? Is that you?

[ She hesitates, and then returns to face into the distance. ]

I can hear voices.

[pristinestar]

Yes, it's me.

[he noticed her flinch like that, a worried expression crossing his face...] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.

[-wait]

... Voices?

[ She nods her head, trying not to look too frightened. ]

Maka, and Kyrie. But they're not here! And... And they died. I don't understand.

[ Hitoshi was meandering through the underwater city with no real destination in mind - but it was impossible to ignore a crying girl. And so he crosses the few meters and sits down quietly on the bench next to her. He says nothing at first, before he eventually speaks up. ]

If you cry people will ask what's wrong. Ah, I was going to ask too. 'What's wrong?'

[ She jumps at the voice, twisting her head around so that she's facing the newcomer. She hadn't even realised someone had appeared, but she tries to smile; it doesn't really work, however. ]

There are voices - can't you hear them?

Voices?

[ Hitoshi pauses, straining his ears. And then he shakes his head - before he looks at her and instead says aloud: ]

No, I don't hear anything...

But... I can hear them. Since I left home, I-I have heard them. Are you certain?

[ She doesn't want to be insane. After gaining her freedom madness felt like torture. ]

[Esther had been taking a stroll through the park when...hey, wait! she recognized that blond. She had seen her once before a while back on the news feed when she was tampering with her newly found star-shaped trinket. The girl was even more beautiful in person, and yet she appeared to be somewhat depressed? As Esther moved nearer she heard the girl mutter an apology, but she wasn't quite sure what for.]

Excuse me, miss...Rian?

[ Rian jumps a little, not expecting the new voice, but she turns her head towards it anyway. This one, it seems, wasn't some strange figment of her mind sent to hurt her; this was familiar. Forcing a weak smile, the girl nods. ]

Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. [She stepped closer and moved to sit down beside her on the bench.]

I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm Sister Esther. We've talked once before on the star fish communicator.

No, it's quite alright. I should have heard.

[ As the girl continues, Rian nods her head slowly, still facing the distance. ]
