"I wouldn't call that wasted time." Eyes himself had spent some hours polishing up old skills that Kanone had drilled into him - skills that after the final clash between Narumi-otouto and Kiyotaka he had deemed mostly unnecessary - because he couldn't help but feel that they would be terribly useful in such a place. He couldn't afford revealing his practice with bullets, however, and had stuck to knife throwing and some basic hand to hand exercises. Although not having a sparring partner was quite a disadvantage.

Now that he wasn't distracted by her fancy gun tricks, Eyes couldn't help but notice that "here was another strangely dressed one," although he'd definitely seen weirder lately. Adjusting his position so that he was more or less sitting on the sill, Eyes, apparently, had no issues with speaking to people a floor below him either. "I'd imagine that such a trick would have taken more than just a few hours to perfect. It also seems too much to be simply for amusement."

Guns...and people who wielded them...were only meant for one thing.

More than a few hours? She wondered if it was possible to pull it off within hours, days, or months. Admittedly she'd taught herself, so maybe if it was something that could be taught to another, or if the person being taught was exceptionally talented... And immediately the image of Train flashed before her eyes, and it wasn't long before she was grinning.

"Hours, years, I'd say that it was worth it either way. Though as for the 'why'...." She contemplated her answer. "Well, it's sort of necessary in my line of work to incapacitate the target. When you get to the big leagues, it's harder to do it with a gun, but I don't really know how to use anything else. So it's just a matter of developing a different method."

"Incapacitate the target?" Eyes let the question carry in his voice. He wondered, rather about the part where "she didn't really know how to use anything else". Somehow, he suspected there was much more to her than first seemed. She reminded him a little of Rio, that same feeling that they were bursting with some sort of carefree happiness while carrying something much harsher within them.

"You seem to have been in an odd line of work prior to this place," he commented dryly. A different world, he was guessing - but then again, it seemed seldom often that people hailed from his Earth.

"'Odd line'..." she echoed thoughtfully, pondering that for a bit. Was it that odd? As far as she was aware, not really. Sure, it wasn't exactly the normal desk job, but there were plenty of sweepers out there. Not that she would care if it was considered odd or not, because the only thing that mattered was there or not she enjoyed herself.

And with that thought, she continued, "Maybe, maybe not! It all depends on your perspective. While I can't be bunched with the police, it's not that much of a difference."

"The police..." it was his turn to echo. Eyes had never been on great terms with the police. Or rather, it was better to say that circumstances had forced him to linger on the wrong side of the police line, although the police as a whole would never have known it. And never would, presumably.

"And what exactly was it that you would have been doing?" he asked. Detective work? Hired mercenary? That bit of extra help needed to incapacitate targets when the police fell short (which really, was far too often)? A stray breeze brushed past him into the room, the bangs that he'd tucked behind his ear falling into his eyes. Eyes tsked in slight annoyance, pushing hair out of his face. "There are few jobs that I know of which would necessitate gun tricks as a staple."

"Sweeper work!" Her answer came immediately, but she'd been quick to realize that term wasn't as broadly used as it was back where she came from, so she had to clarify. "Or... bounty hunter, I guess you could say. If there are any criminals that are especially tough and the police can't handle it, often there's a bounty placed on them. Sweepers grab the poster of their target off the wall and set off to work!"

It was hard to think that people weren't familiar with the term around here, so she had to get in as many details as she could, otherwise she could be taken for something else, "But there are rules to follow. The criminals have to be taken in alive, and if any outside party gets hurt, the bounty is cut appropriately."
