[ Klavier whistles when the 'ting!' noise from the bullet hitting the can happens. ... This woman is not only cute, but a crack shot? Awesome. Though... really, what IS it with the women he meets and weapons, anyway? Then again, most of the women he knows are in law enforcement... but that's really no explanation for one of them carrying a whip, and the other throwing Snackoos at him constantly. ]

Your marksmanship is expert, Fräulein. I'd give that trick an eleven.

[Ooh, a compliment! She turns and smiles brightly.]

Why thank you! Glad it could prove to be entertaining, if nothing else. I find it pretty fun too.

[ Oh, she's even cuter when she smiles like that. ♥ This is just more incentive for him. ]

Just don't take your 'amusement' too far, hm~? It would be a truly lamentable waste of talent and beauty if I had to arrest you.

[ While he says it with a wink, he's only half-joking. Never mind they have no court to prosecute someone in. ... He's... working on it. ]

[And he's managed to succesfully catch her attention! She can't help but laugh a bit at the irony of it. Someone's threatening to arrest her? Strange turn of events.]

I'm flattered. And I can certainly say that you'll never catch me on that side of the law. Not when I'm normally the one doing the arresting.

Well! It seems I have absolutely nothing to worry about. But you know, one can't ever be too careful, ja? Not to mention it'd be kind of hard to arrest yourself, I'd imagine. Besides, then you could be your own accomplice.

[ D'ohoho. Have a grin. ] If you don't mind my asking, on what long arm of the law within the many branches of the tree of justice do you happen to reside? I'm a prosecutor, myself.

Point! I guess I'll have to watch out for myself, then. Or... maybe not? [Hmm, nice riddling there. She's not sure how to find a way out of that one without incriminating herself.]

Where I come from, we call my position a 'sweeper', though I guess you could call it a bounty hunter too? Though sweeper does have a nicer ring to it. Taking in criminals alive in exchange for the bounties placed on their heads, it's a nice lifestyle.

How about I watch out for you and we call it even~?

[ Match, set, annnnd gaaaame~! ♥ This one's a real keeper. ] Bounty hunters are fairly rare in my day and age. But a nice woman like yourself, chasing down criminals? They should consider themselves lucky to get such an honor.

[And she laughs. What a charmer, though she doesn't plan on swooning any time soon.] Much obliged, then!

Flattery, huh? [She can't help but smile a bit anyway.] While I do appreciate the compliments, I'll have to say that they still won't get you anywhere.

A man can't help but be honest, now can he? Would it be too late to call a truce, at least~?

[ Ahaha. He tried! ] For some reason, I think I vastly prefer the lovely woman who has a gun over the one who has a whip. At least if I'm shot, it probably won't cut holes in my decent suit.

[ And then there was a time Ema sprayed Luminol in his eyes... which didn't end well. ]

Never too late for a truce, in my opinion.

[Should she comment on that? She's not sure. She wonders where this woman with a whip might be, and what this guy's done to deserve be whipped to begin with.] Huh... Well, I can promise I won't be pointing my gun at you any time soon. Shooting isn't something I enjoy anyway.

Well! I should hope so. So what do you say? Shooting things probably gets boring awfully quickly, I'd imagine. Unless, of course, you're not practicing.

[ Nothing. Nothing whatsoever. Franziska just always whipped him for... being him. Or something. It was ALWAYS something. ] But you know, if that were the case, I don't think you'd be lining up trick shots, Fräulein. It's generally a fact people try to avoid what they don't enjoy unless forced or necessary~

Boring...? [Was it 'boring'?] ... If it was boring, I wouldn't do it.

But if I didn't know how to use a gun, I'd be-- ['dead' is not a word she wants to use, so she falters for a bit.] ... I'd be in trouble with my job, don't you think? I need an ace up my sleeve, just in case. Besides, it's easier to guarantee that you won't kill anyone this way.

Well, caution is the better side of valor, you know? If only Fräulein Von Karma would learn that.

[ He shrugs absently. ] Someone so trigger-happy... you'd make a great song. ♥

Trigger-happy...?

[She pauses. Not the description she likes of herself, but maybe there was just a misunderstanding.]

Ahah, I'm sorry. I guess I wasn't clear. I'm not really a fan of guns, and pulling the trigger carries a lot of weight. I say if you can go a hunt without pulling the trigger, that's better.

Just a turn of phrase, Fräulein. A bit like a spin in a dance. Besides, it's hardly the fact you have a gun that matters as much as how you use it.

[ Yes, everything is musical with him. ] There's other kinds of bullets, you know. They're invisible; very hard to see. You don't even need a gun to fire them.

[... well, what do you know? He gets it! That makes her quite happy and she can't help but laugh a bit, nodding.]

Really? And what kinds of bullets are those, exactly?
