[ Shiki had been on edge since she got here.
Clothes-making was something that took the edge off her daily life. Sewing came so naturally to her, she could just pour out all her emotions into the clothes she was making, and they would reflect what she put into them. Happy stitches for happy days made for happy clothes, angry stitches for angry days made angry clothes, and so on. It was simple, and Shiki liked it, because what was simple in her life anymore?
Or course, she hasn't gotten very much time to sit down and sew something; not without the girl who gave her all the designs.
Still, the pink-haired girl couldn't take it any longer. Albeit her many attempts at clothing designs were proven fruitless thus far, simply sinking her needle into a perfect sheet of fabric was just what she needed right now. The idea of creating something from nothing thrilled her, and it was the thrill that made living so easy at times like this.
And so, Shiki is content when she enters the store, smelling the (slightly overpowering) scent of pieces of fabric all mixing together in the air, creating a musky sort of scent that dazzles her mind. She practically leaps on selection of cotton, feeling the smooth textile beneath her fingers, and feeling at peace for once. Shiki unravels a bit of it, looking at all of it's beauty when
No, this fabric wouldn't do. A thread was popped-- and a small imperfection could change the whole outfit, after all.
So, she searched. And searched and searched and searched, looking for anything that still remained in its perfect state it doubtlessly once was.
Having amazing eyesight isn't all it's cracked up to be. Not when you have your eye on perfection. ]
