Why is she wet? Her clothing felt all damp and uncomfortable and she was -dry- a minute ago. With an 'nngh' as she roused herself, Kairi opened her eyes hesitantly, surroundings coming into focus. Oh .. so dizzy. Wait... were those bodies?

Startled, Kairi sat up abruptly, and immediately regretted it. Oof, okay, no quick movements for the next little bit. Neverminding herself, she crawled to all fours, about to move towards the nearest person to see if they were okay when she heard a voice. "Huh?!" She glanced around, and then pinpointed the person speaking.

"...I'm ... I'm fine. Who are you?"

With a gentle swaying motion, the stranger comes down to Kairi's level and sits upon her knees.

"We are all glad to hear you are safe," she says. Her eyes are smiling. "I am Thalassino, the Head Priestess of this kingdom. Do you have a name, little one?"

Kairi tilted her head curiously at the other woman. Head Priestess? Cautiously she reached up to wring out her hair, and in doing so, caught sight of the mark on her hand. That definitely wasn't there before. "Thalassino...?" She echoed, curious. "My name is Kairi. Where am I?" And who doodled on her hand while she was out cold?

"Kairi," she repeated quietly. "It is a pleasure to meet you. We are currently in Vatheon, in the city's plaza. Would you like a towel?"

So many questions were running through her head, but she at least thought she had the answer to one of them. How the heck did I get here? ... still, who knew that the corridor would lead her ...underwater. She glanced around again, noting various people, and for a second she wondered if her friends were in this place too.

"Yes, please." She answered distractedly, glancing back to the High Priestess. "I don't suppose you know if anyone by the name of Sora or Riku is here?"

Getting her bearings a little quicker than most, and now a little dry, Aqua finally overheard the voice that seemed...so familiar. And that strong light. She recognized it.

Slowly, the young woman wove her way around the others until she spotted the red haired girl, staring. That couldn't possibly be her. But then she gave the priestess her name, and all doubts melted away. "...Kairi?"

Did someone just call her name? "Yes? Who called m-" Kairi glanced about curiously, blue eyes meeting blue and - that woman looked so familiar... but it couldn't be. Kairi was just a tiny bit of a girl back then. "...e." She finished a bit lamely, stunned.

Silence for a few minutes, as Kairi tried shifting through the jumble of her memories. "I know you, don't I?" She asked slowly, a puzzled frown on her face. What was her name? Starts with.... starts with...

Aqua smiled, looking at her. She had grown, but how...how was that even possible? It had been only a few days. And yet, when Aqua looked at Kairi, really looked at her, she could see that light in this girl, and knew it had to be her.

The charm around her neck glistened. That charm she put a protection spell on. It had to be her. She nodded. "Yes. You gave me flowers, that one day. I'm Aqua."

... HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?

Kairi blinked once or twice, her eyes widening. "Aqua??" Torn between surprise and ...well okay just surprise really ... Kairi shook her head, "I - I remember, but... how ... that was years ago! You look like you haven't aged at all."

How rude, Kairi. "I mean, it's wonderful to see you again in...in..." A glance around. "...wherever we are..."

She tried to smile a little more, feeling bad for the girl. Surprise quickly turned to almost mortification. Years? But how? "Years? But I just saw you..." This made no sense. She sighed, shaking her head. "Something's strange about this place. It's called Vatheon. I spoke with this woman, a priestess. She said it's by Lamufao's will that we're here."

The Keybearer approached the girl further, looking around as well before her gaze turned back to the Princess. "It's good to see you too." Even if it has been some time. "Are you alright?"

Kairi put a hand to her chin, thinking. "I was only five when we met that time. It's been ten years since I last saw you, Aqua." Still bewildered, she tilted her head. "I spoke with the High Priestess also but ... Lamufao...? Who or what is Lamufao?"

As Aqua looked around, so did Kairi, finding the people gathered around, confused, a little troubling. "I wonder - was it that Lamufao who created that dark corridor ...?" Hm. But she's back to smiling, "Yes, I'm all right. What about you?"

"Ten..." No, that couldn't be possible. She outwardly winced, wondering...wondering what sort of world could change the ages and timelines of people. No world she had ever been to could do that. This was odd.

"I'm not sure what, or who, Lamufao is, but I'm guessing we'll find out soon enough." The people were still watching, whispering, and she repressed the chill that swept through her. Why were they always watching? Aqua turned back to Kairi, raising an eyebrow. "A dark corridor? Is that what you saw?"

She smiled. "I'm just fine." She paused, pointing to the girl. "Do you...have a mark on you, somewhere?"

Kairi tilted her head sympathetically. "I guess that's... a bit of a shock, huh?" Understatement, Kairi. And... why -were- those people watching? That's really creepy. Shaking her head, Kairi did her best to put it from her mind, watching the other woman.

"Yeah, some guy showed up out of nowhere saying that he could take me to see Sora, but... I didn't trust him. Then this dog showed up, while I was trying to think of how I could get away, when this dark corridor appeared. The dog ran off to the corridor and I figured that meant it was safe, so I ran into it with him."

Kairi picked at a strand of wet hair, "The next thing I knew, I was here - soaking wet. The High Priestess gave me a towel to dry off but -- are we really underwater?" Bewildered, she frowned at the question, "A mark? I -" Wait, she DID recall seeing something, and she held her arm up to show Aqua the back of her hand, where the mark was. "Do you mean this?"

"A little," she admitted, frowning, pushing a hand briefly through her hair. She glanced back at the people watching them, and went to the girl's side, touching her shoulder. "Come on, let's walk." She couldn't be sure these people wouldn't do something to them. They said earlier they were happier to see she was okay, but the reasons could be many, and all wrong.

She took Kairi away from the crowd, walking with her just a little ways off, turning to her. "...Sora?" It couldn't be. They were on different worlds. But still, she had to wonder, if it was the same boy. "Brown...spiky hair?" She nodded. "That was smart, Kairi." But who was this person? She'd have to ask later.

"I think we are. I've tried looking around, but..." She could almost feel the pressure of it, too, though. The Keybearer nodded, touching a hand to the back of her shoulder blade. "That's right. I have one too. I think...all of us do. I've seen it on others."

Kairi nodded mutely, easily falling in step beside the taller girl. All that staring was kinda creepy. Once they were safely away from the crowd, Kairi relaxed a bit. "Yes, that's him. I haven't seen him or Riku in almost a year -- it's a long story, but I know we'll see each other again." Their destinies were intertwined.

"An entire city under the sea.." Huh. "I never thought such a thing was possible." She glanced up - how is it they weren't crushed by the water pressure? "What's protecting the city...?" Nevermind, she gave a startled glance to Aqua, "You do?" Her eyes darted towards the area that Aqua touched. "... This is too weird. I don't like it - and those people are a little too interested in our well being."

[ OOC Also dead of laughter, I was going to have Kairi's mark be in the SAME place, but changed it at the last minute XD ]

"...Riku too?" Both of them. The next question tumbled out of her mouth without warning: "You...went to Destiny Islands?" How did she manage to traverse the worlds?

She shrugged. "Anything's possible. My world is suspended on a mountain face. It's almost impossible, but I guess this just a new place. I wonder how this city was put down here." She nodded. "We'll figure it out. But for now, we should keep away from those people. I'm not too sure about them either."
