Man, had this day been a nightmare. With all the chaos late the previous night and early that morning, it was surprising that the older teen had even made it here where he'd promised to meet the dhampire. Funny, how you promise something in a moment of peace,

Adrian was a man of his word, and he recalled making the promise to meet Riku, even though he had been in the form of a bat.

Now he approached the park once more, in his own, true body. Part of him feel a touch of nervousness, what on Earth must the boy think of him? How is it that he could really believe that he was the same person after he saw him as that small, fluffy creature? What could Riku think? Was he amused? Disgusted? Frightened even? At the time the boy had seem quite taken to him, he had held him and stroked him almost lovingly, but did he feel the same now as he had then?

He saw Riku waiting for him and walked towards him, with a small nod he greeted the boy, his voice gentle and perhaps a little withdrawn. "Riku... I'm sorry, have I kept you waiting very long?"

It wasn't much longer before he could sense the one he was waiting for approaching, but he would pretend to be ignorant for now, instead taking to staring at the hand he was holding out in front of his face. Sealing the dark power within him had certainly taken its toll after that fight.

However, when Adrian spoke, he couldn't help the faint smirk. "Nah. I haven't been here for long. It took me so long to get out of dodging questions about how I could find Namine so easily I thought you would have beaten me here."

A faint chuckle. "I would stand, but last night and this morning's events have drained me of most of my energy."

A look of concern as Adrian approached Riku, moving to stand beside him. The... battle had brought on strain and stress to many and Adrian was unsure what to think about it all. Would Namine have wanted this sort of blood-lust hunt, he wondered. She had seemed such a... gentle child.

"Are you alright? You aren't hurt at all, are you?"

He doubted that Namine would have, which is why he had joined the effort in the first place. Riku only used the 'gifts' he'd been given to track her down and help her escape, though restraining his dual nature had been quite taxing.

"Whatever I'd sustained has healed already. A friend of mine's rather good with curative magic." A faint, overconfident grin. It was a good thing that it was getting close to night again. It made things easier to hide the truth in his eyes when it was harder to see, at least to the human eye. "My powers are just...taxing, is all."
