[Dante's wandering about, whistling, and decides to cut through an alleyway because hey, what could be lurking about that was big enough to scare him?]

[This guy, of course! Don't look now, but something is grabbing you by the ankles and pulling you backwards, all while the ticking of a clock sounds around you.]

[And can't forget the creepy laughter and voice.] Now now, going somewhere?

[Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Just what were these shenanigans. Pulling himself free, he turns around to meet the trouble maker.]

Well, yes. I was going to get myself something to eat. You're not planning on stopping me now, are you? Because it sure seems like it.

[The troublemaker in question has a mask on that has a rather creepy smile, and twitches with every tick of the clock sounding around him.]

I'm sorry, did you say eat? Because you look like a particularly appetizing meal.

[There are now snakes around your heels, Dante. Have fun with them.]

[This guy sure had the whole Halloween thing down.]

Oh, isn't this a pain in the ass. [he doesn't do anything about the snakes, in fact, they're more like an accessory to him. Unphased, he takes out one of his beloved guns, Ebony, and holds it up to his offender.]

[Oh, and that offender disappears right in front of your eyes, and then suddenly appears behind him and grasps the back of Danta's hair, pulling back his head so those souless black eyes of the mask can stare straight into your soul.]

Now, now, violence isn't the solution, boy.

[Well, this was uncomfortable. And ow, his hair. Of course, Dante only plays fair and reaches up to grab the offender's hair back, tugging just as hard. and using the hand holding the gun to press up against the man's neck.]

Want to dance, then?

[Not his hair, man! Why did scaring have to get so complicated? Crowley unwittingly gives a small angry hiss, then mutters something untelligible under his breath.]

[And now you'll find your face and eyes caked with something slimy and dark and gross. And it's moving. Crowley will now take this time to slip out from your grasp (losing a few hairs on the way) and move in front of you.]

No, I don't dance, sorry.

[What the hell was up with this guy?]

That's too bad, I was hoping for a waltz.

Now, just what are you?

Do you want me to whistle the Grand Danube? Because I can.

[And he's just going to twitch his head unnaturally, as if he's nothing but a rather human-looking robot.]

Sorry, a secret is a secret.

That's cute, really.

[Really? Is that all you got? Dante's seen worse.]

Well, I don't know if you know how I feel about secrets, but I certainly don't like them.

[Hey, don't diss the demon. There's only so much he can do in this body.]

I don't like them either, I must say. So, tellme this, why are you walking alone on such a night?

[Oooh, they certainly have something in common.]

Well, I'm not exactly afraid of the dark. [A smirk, and he lowers his raised gun. This guy's just having some fun, isn't he?]

Are you just out here to scare people?

[Uh, finally. At least the guy didn't want to kill him now. Crowley decides to drop all the charades and speak normally- scaring this guy wasn't fun anymore.]

Ding, ding, ding! You're right on the dot. If I had a prize, I would give it to you.

[He started it.]

I would say buy me dinner, but no one requires money around here.

[Hey, now, Crowley doesn't threaten anyone's life. Unless your name was Enjin and you had a tacky fur coat. But that was a different matter.]

Buy you dinner? What do you think I am, your date or something? Sorry, you'll have to do without for now.
