The cycle...

So yesterday I went to the doctor and found out that I have stress fracture somewhere on the knoby bone of my right ulna, down by the wrist. I'll be in a splint for a while.

Interestingly, I spent an entire week with it in this condition wondering why it was hurting. I don't remember hurting it per se, but I do remember when it started hurting, which was last wednesday morning and it had gotten progressively worse wince then. The only thing I can think of is that I might have hurt it getting my luggage out of the overhead during my return from LA on tuesday night of last week.

Now, I had taken a pretty stiff pain killer during the flight to offset the back ache that has been around for the past few months. These are "worse than normal" back aches which I have experienced most of the time since the car accidents several months ago. I think its getting worse due mainly to all the travel I've been doing since October. In fact, I have an appointment later this week with my physiatrist who's been treating me since the accidents for a "pain management" consultation.

Anyways, I took my bag out of the overhead and my back gave out for the umpteenth time this month. The pain killer took the edge off the pain, but my bag just sorta fell to the ground with my arm attached to it.

I am not happy about any of this. I don't normally whine, but this sucks.
