(no subject)
Okay so here is how everything happened!
Chris and I have known each other for 10.5 months and have been together for 5 months of them, 3 of the 5 months I have lived with him here in Clifton Forge, and 2 of those 3 I have been unemployeed and he has been paying pretty much everything. Well we have talked off and on about the idea of getting married, but we were never actually serious about it or atleast thats what I thought and obviously I never thought it would happen now! I figured this time next year at the earliest to be honest. I thought he would want me to get through one more year of school (i'll be in school for two more years) so it wouldn't be so stressful with everything I'm doing. Well now I am working random hours for Wachovia Bank in Covington and sorting through school stuff and random what nots, so I figured that our 5th aniversary was going to be like every other (going out for dinner and then a movie at home) however i was sooooooo wrong!!! Here is how the day played out:
We woke up got our showers got dress and ran out the door like we normally do! However as I was going out the door Chris gave me a hug and kiss and told me to have a great day and that I was not allowed to have a bad day because it was our anniversary... I smiled and chuckled a little but was in a rush so I didn't think that much about it, well I got half way down the street and had to turn around because I forgot the Charmed DVD's for Chanthone that I told her I would bring here since she was going on vacation and needed entertainment! Well Chris was still here at the appartment and it didn't seem odd to me because he works all of 2 mins from the appartment and it was like 30 past 7 ( I have to be at work quarter till and it takes me roughtly 15 mins to get to work) and he was ordering stuff online for work, which he always does so it didn't seem too odd to me. Anyways he gave me another kiss and hug before I left and then after that it was another average day. I got to work it was kinda slow all day and around 4:45 I had to go to the drive thru window because Victoria had to leave early. Well this was my first time in the Drive thru so Chris had no idea that I would be there, well around 5:30ish (give or take) I looked out the side window and he was there with the mustang top down!!! It struck me as odd so I asked Machelle if I could use my cell (we aren't supposed to have our cells in use at work) for a moment b/c I had no idea what Chris was doing there and I wanted to find out. Well she said yes inbetween laughing. So I called and he was like "you definently know how to ruin a surprise" we laughed and I said I would see him in about 45 mins. Well walking out Machelle was joking and was like "I bet he's going to propose and all" and I laughed and said I doubt it was going to happen today... Well I couldn't have been more wrong! As I got closer to him I noticed he had 5 red roses for me and wanted to take me up to the Falls... The Falls is this waterfall that is absolutely spectacular! I love it up there, it has to be one if not my favorite place here! Anyways we went up and I took pictures because I have been dieing to for a long time and Friday was perfect day to do it! Well I finished taking pictures and all and Chris started asking me some questions which threw me for a little while. He was actually acting strange and I was starting to wonder what was up. He was holding onto me and kissing my check and my lips alot more then usual and he seemed real nervous to me so it started to seem really odd to me at this point! Anyways he told me that we have been through some really rough times and alot more good times and then he asked me how long I wanted that to continue. And I asked him what type of question that was and he asked for just whatever came to mind. And so I told him that I would like to see it last indefinetly and that is when I turned around a tad more to see him down on one knee and saying something along the lines of:
"since you agree with me on the indefinet part of this relationship, (pause seemed forever) Jessica will you marry me?"
give or take a few words because I was so shocked I can't remember exactly what was said... well after I caught my wits again I managed to say yes which kinda came out more as a half squeek half wisper!!! and as most of you know I am hardly ever quiet, but this time I was quiet for a good 3-4 mins!!! and yes I cried! So we hugged for probably 8 or 9 mins before walking back to the car!!! Then I texted a few people to let them know it happened and all... The we drove to Lewisburg, WV for dinner at Applebee's and then back home where we stayed up most of the night watching movies while I was in shock! I still cannot get over the fact that I am getting married!!!
It seems like everyone knew before me because Chris had called my family and asked their permision and then he needed his father's permission to have Friday off so he could go pick up the ring as well as a few other errands he needed to do! So word spreads pretty fast around here, however I was completely oblvious to it all!!!
So that is pretty much it, except I'm sure you would love to know what the ring looks like:
Well Its 14k white gold with a pear/tear shapped diamond. the stone itself is alittle less then half a carat, but it has perfect cut and perfect color and perfect clarity so it looks a little bigger then what it really is! Plus a pear/tear shape is a very rare cut so everything else isn't real important, i mean it is but it isn't! It is however absolutely beautiful! It sparkles like no other I have seen like this before! I absolutly love it!
Well we haven't made any really big plans or anthing like setting the date but I think that we agree some time early June, so Everyone better be avaliable!!! as soon as I know more I will post. I am actually thinking of bringing back my Celticfaerie84 name here so I can use it to post my wedding details and all!!! so if ANYONE Has any advice to share they can post it there!
