Heart beats, where horizons rise and fall
Breathing delicate
With your back up against the wall

It’s like that

But to the tune of smog
Choking smoke, and lithium thumps

And I can touch her
Solid
Like electricity
I've never turned back
To forget that she's been there
Just for me

And I've traveled this world for years
Dealing
With hardships, turmoil, and fears
Choking back acrid tears

But her eyes are fevers
Contagious
Passion and archaic fascinations
Like screaming in driving sleet
With melting ice for skin
Inches from freezing
Raging, the power behind veils

Just when I think I'm lucid
I'm delirious
Driving those lithium heart bumps
Controlled like sockets sparking engines
Never letting me lose this touch
Even if it sucks
To wake up and fathom
Everything I never lost

You don't have to fear your dreams
Dear
Even with demons stalking
So twisting and far away
Down paths and winding roads

I'm stapled to your earth
Warmed by your weather
Heart beats, where horizons rise and fall
Thumping delicate
With your back up against the wall
And the ticking of a clockwork battery
I gaze into your eyes
And see a lithium reflection
