In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser-known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom who maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.
I just came across this fanart of
Steve and Bernie today by havecrayonswilltravel. It's really cute, and I was browsing through their other art, too, and there's something about their proportions I really like. (I have a thing about proportions, okay? It's weird, I've complimented artists on this before.) I had to pick the Steve/Bernie one, but there's a lot of other great stuff there, which you should check out. (Some great DC ladies art, for example!)
I read a fic the other day called
stars fell down before us by mwestbelle. (warnings for rape roleplay and use of safeword when the scene goes wrong.) I really liked the emotion between the two of them after Bucky backs out of the scene, and it was extremely sweet. I really didn't know what to expect when I went into it, and by the end, I was happy I had read it.
I really like sisi-rambles's podfics, and they did one of lanyon's
Once you've fallen from classical virtue. Like the rest of sisi-rambles's work, it was extremely fun to listen to. Steve and Bucky waking up and not remembering who either of them are? Perfect. The reading was fantastic, very enjoyable.
