This weekend started stressfully when I was left alone with Elsie and Fischer for 6 hours. They like to rile each other up and then wonder why they are getting picked on. It's exhausting. I can't wait until he is old enough to be less bratty and aggressive. I know it's just him being a kitten, but kiddo seriously needs to learn to do things without his claws out.
We had tea party part two on Sunday. It was lovely as expected. I can't decide if I like brunch or dessert tea parties better! Being in Melissa's home made me want to buy an old crooked house and replace my matching black-brown IKEA living room set.
Yesterday I went to King's Dominion with Jaimie and Amanda. We used Amanda's birthday as an excuse to go. We did Wendy's kids meal Mad Libs on the way there and back and ended up with inappropriate stories like "Jaimie and Amanda became the first human prostitutes to set penis on the moon," and "Wendy, with her fucking pigtails, is cute as a fetish dungeon." We rode the new Dale Earnhardt ride first, which was intimidating as the name implies, and quickly realized that this specific coaster brought a whole different breed of people to the park. You can imagine. We got on a few coasters, ate some burgers and fries, and then went to the water park. We got on the water ride that's shaped like a giant funnel, which is our favorite, a tubeless water slide, and the lazy river. We dried off and did the drop tower and the wooden coasters and then FINALLY got to the Volcano. We saved the best for last. By then we were exhausted and hungry so we left for home. Well, for Sonic. And then home.
Sean and I slept with the windows open last night. It was even a little chilly. He had a dream where we went to the Renaissance Faire and I held hands with another boy. He said he wanted to wake me up and yell at me, but I'm glad he didn't. But now I really want to go to the Renaissance Faire.
So now I'm sitting here with some tea, surfing the web for some new autumn desktop wallpapers when I should be chopping vegetables for our bean chili dinner tonight. Or deciding what Pampered Chef products I'm interested in buying. Or dusting. Or paying bills.
