It turns out I do have vision covered in my insurance plan (as far as I know), so I have an appointment tomorrow for an eye exam + new glasses + new contact lenses. The point is to have contact lenses that aren't coated in nasty white flecks, and also to have pretty and flattering eyeglasses to wear if the mood strikes me.

The mood strikes me sometimes because toric lenses are uncomfortable. I have two frames that I only wear at home because they make me look greasy and lazy. I would rather have frames that make me look intellectual and spunky. I think I may have already picked them out, but they always look better on me in the store than once I get them home and it's too late. Of course, they were in the most expensive price group; but I'd rather splurge on frames that make me look intellectual and spunky than pay a little less for frames that make me look greasy and lazy.

I'm very torn between whether I want to cut my bangs or not. Right now they are long enough to tuck behind the hair that's tucked behind my ear, so they're not always in my face but sometimes they are and it makes me feel like an angsty teen. I've never not had bangs because not having them makes my eyebrows and forehead look funny, but sometimes (sometimes) they look nice the way they are. I'm thinking of letting them grow until the rest of my hair is long enough to want to cut, but that's a long time to be very torn and I need some peace of mind.

This entire entry is about how fanatical I am about my appearance. I'm not really this crazy!

Actually, I am.
