"jesus is a friend of sinners"
this weekend has been kinda fun.. i didnt do as much as the usual but still kept busy. friday night i went to the show. anissa picked me up, and eric came along.. haha. everyone was there so that was really really fun.. the atmosphere was so awesome too!! i really really really wnated to go to the play but the only ride i could get was to the show.. and i wanted to that too. i was confused, but then just went there because i couldnt get to joho. i was sad they didnt have the matanee! i heard it was really good froma few people.
yesterday i went to the mall with my mom, got af ew things at american eagle, and went to erics football game, and then cam ehome to babysit. i babysat tracy's kids- it gets stressful, but they arent all that bad. just one of them... lol. i love watching megan- shes one and soo cute!
today so far i went to church and then out to lunch- as the usual. the sermon was soo goood!!
it was titled like "dinner with jesus" - we read through matthew 9. anson talked about the three wrong ideas people get about jesus.
1. "there are some people god avoids"- noppe lol thats not true... there is nobody god doesnt want to have a relatioship with, or does he let alone avoid! we are all sinners but just like in matthew... he had dinner with the tax collectors and the "sinners".
2. gods number one iagendra for life is to "change people" to be "better"-- hahh noo. his number one agendra is to have you get a relationship with him. when your in a relationship with god, you cant help but change, because the more you are with him... you become more godly, and you don't tend to sin as much.
3. lastly, "god is ticked off at sinners" - another no, lol. he is not ever ticked off at sinners but yeah of course he hates sin, because it seperates us from him. he totally values us, and when we are put into temptation, it makes him sick.
another thing he went over... never make the mistake god is NOT like us. haha trruue dat
anyhoo had to write it all out just to clarify stuff in my head as well- lol.
