In connection with my last entry:
After I read
this, I realized there hasn't even been a reprieve, just a different approach. The Empire is always active, they just wanted to appease certain crucial groups of U.S. citizens (for example, the Army and the factory production) who were angry about their diminished country, so they allowed a government change. They're acting smarter, less heavy-handed than they used to, letting their global puppet-branches (for example, Saudi Arabia) do the local job, therefore remaining unnoticed by the U.S. citizens who concentrate on their internal state and federal problems.
The irony is that in the above Testimony they're accusing Putin of doing the same things the US/UK have been doing for decades. And let's be frank here: Russia has never been and will never be as effective as the US in subverting another country's population to its will. For example, just after WWII in Greece, even though Russia had the support of more than half the country, they didn't help their supporters because they respected the Stalin-Churchill agreement that Greece would belong to the latter, resulting to a 3-year long civil war. (funny, how neither asked the Greeks if they wanted to BELONG to anybody... how they didn't respect the sovereignty of a free country! Oh but I forget: is it really a free country if its Kings and its Prime Ministers were foreigners? Nope, it's a Dependent Territory... ugh.)
