Even more, I hope TV shows and movies involve more gay people in their plotlines - if there's no visibility, the majority of the population will never feel queerness is as normal as interracial marriage, single motherhood... any other minority. Minorities have that intrinsic problem: when society doesn't deal with them on a daily basis, that society's members tend to view them as something strange and ubnormal - because people don't bat an eye only to what they're used to look at in their daily lives. When you think that about 10% of the human population isn't your average heterosexual person, that makes for LOTS of people, who should have more visibility.
