"Kyonko-chan! It's time to get up!"
Kyonko groaned, pulling the covers over her head and mentally cursing whoever decided that her little brother just had to be her own personal alarm clock. Really, why did he insist on waking her up this early every single day? It wasn't fair to her or

His headache must have been so bad he couldn't feel it now, because he thought he wasn't in pain but this room didn't look familiar at all.

"Come on, Kyonko-chan! Breakfast!" her brother cried, having finally stopped banging on the door.
"I'm up! I'm up! Let me get dressed and I'll meet you in the kitchen!" she shouted back before looking nervously back down at Erk.

How he'd gotten to Kyonko's world, he didn't want to speculate. Well, he did, but not now. Preferably somewhere he was less likely to get caught.
"Do your parents usually check your room?" he whispered. He was hoping there was some way for him to get out of the house without getting caught.

She pulled her uniform out of the closet while she continued speaking.
"I can duck back after I leave for school with my brother claiming I forgot one of my workbooks, then give Nagato a call? He'll probably let you stay at his place for a bit while we figure this out."
"KYONKO-CHAAAAN! MOM MADE PANCAKES!" came her brother's voice and a renewed banging on the door.
"I'm coming!" she shouted in exasperation as she pulled off and threw aside the oversized shirt she'd worn to bed and began to change. She'd done this so many times in front of Erk she wasn't that embarrassed by it anymore.

'What are we going to do?'
After one of the more tense forty-five minutes of her life involving talking nice with her parents and hoping her father didn't decide to go back upstairs before he and her mother left for work and then dropping off her brother to walk to school with his friends, she ducked back to her house and up the stairs, cell phone in hand.
"Erk? You okay?" she hissed, going through her contacts list for Nagato's number and hoping he wasn't on his way to school already.

"I have no idea what's going on either," she said with a sigh, tapping her foot impatiently while she waited for Nagato, "I mean, I'm glad you're here and all, but--Nagato? It's me! What? Fifteen minutes last night? Wow, time really does pass faster there than--yeah, Erk's here. Could he hide out in your place for now? ....My parents would murder him if they knew he was in my room. ....Okay! Thanks! See you at school. If I don't fake sick to avoid a tardy on my record. Bye!"
She snapped her phone shut and visibly relaxed.
"He says we're going to have to discuss a few things with the Brigade since this world hopping nonsense can't stay between just me and him now."

Which, in the end, wasn't all that much. Kyonko hadn't ever cared to ask that much about it, but now with Erk here she was very aware of how little she knew. She knew her famly wasn't in any kind of danger, but how would Erk be seen by the other organizations? Another rival? Someone who seduced her and was pulling her strings to get to Haruki? Someone who needed to be--
'I'm thinking way too hard about this.'
"It'll be okay. We'll figure this out," she said quietly, reaching for his hand. Then, out of nowhere, she leaned forward and kissed him briefly.
"Sorry. Just wanted to indulge in a fantasy I've had for a while."

"... What fantasy would that be?"

He pushed the thought away; worrying about it now wouldn't help anything.

"I'm going to change into some street clothes and call in sick. It'll take a while to get to Nagato's place. There's some leftover pancakes in the fridge if you're hungry. Help yourself."
