... I ended up TL;DR-ing. Ah well; consider it a gift or something, idk.arcana_unboundOctober 21 2009, 11:25:47 UTC
[He mumbles for a moment, eyes tightly shut as though he can't see a thing, reaching around for the pair of orange, square glasses just out of his reach near Kyonko's head. Once he finally grabs them, he puts them on over his eyes... and then immediately seems to JET off the girl, trying to hide the pink tinge to his face by fixing his odd glasses and looking around before looking back at her, worriedly crouching down in case she needs a hand up.]
Waugh! Oh man, I'm sorry! D-do you want some help up?
[Ryoji doesn't seem any different, though. No, his age, height and appearance (sans clothing) all look the same. What he's wearing? ... Not so much. The same white button-up shirt with folded-back sleeves on the end and black suspenders and watch, of course, are present, but... there's other things. Newer ones. Ones that he would've never been seen wearing before, oddly enough. Glasses? REALLY?
Things like an orange and black horizontally-striped scarf, black jeans and shoes with some short, white socks (they look a little worn out, too), and, of course, aforementioned odd to the eye orange Teddie!glassses with a rainbow static pattern on the sides. After a moment, his sword clanks to the ground nearby, and in a big POOF! of black smoke, turns back into a... thick, black, square piece of metal. ... He doesn't notice this, either, however.]
E-er... Kyon-chan, right? Did you get thrown into the TV, too? You don't feel like a Shadow, but I don't see the others....
[OOC; Going out on a limb here... want to say they met at 8 like SEES!Ryoji and her did (only less heroically) and know one another, or something? IDK. She can know his P3 history up to New Years--if you choose--and then he disappears (or seems to leave), maybe, only to suddenly reappear here and now? What he knows about Kyonko's history is up to you~?]
Awesome. Also, good. /o/;;;arcana_unboundOctober 22 2009, 02:23:31 UTC
[After helping her up, he looks away, frowning at their odd surroundings, totally unaware he is not in the TV at all, since those glasses have such a good fog-clearing effect.]
... I guess you wouldn't know, huh? The world inside the TV. It's... it's a long story. [He pauses, thinking.] ... I think I might have an extra pair of glasses Teddie-kun made for me I can lend you... the fog here is dangerous to humans if you're exposed for long amounts of time, and there's proven medical side-effects... and... stuff.
[Picking up Thana!sword is go, yes. He's careful; alert. Very focused as he does so, doing a sweep of the area. However, it seems that fall has him... limping. Which is weird, considering normally, this wouldn't effect Ryoji too awful much.
He sighs after a moment, propping himself up using the big sword, and pushes his glasses up over his head. Yeah, he figured out this isn't the TV world; no fog, no danger.]
[Of course the surroundings are off. For all intents and purposes they're on a flat piece of rock hovering over.... nothing. The only fog is that swirling below the convenient cliff near them. Everything else is a barren gray, with a slight pink tinge thanks to the overcast sky.]
I think I've dealt with enough long stories from you to know it really isn't that long.
Ugh, where's Naoto-kun when I need her...? [He mumbles a little, looks away, then looks back at Kyonko.] How to explain the stuff going on in Inaba...
[He sighs, rubbing the back of his head.] ... Man, this is hard. But the fog is... well...
[Another pause. Grk. Why is this so awkward for him? He doesn't like her; he likes someone else. She's only--shut up. Stupid human side. Ryoji limps a bit, looking over an edge of the rock.]
I just... I went into the TV at Junes with the rest of the Investigation Team--they're new Persona-users--and ended up here. So I thought the fog was here, too. I'm glad it's not... man, if you'd've been shoved in there, I don't think I'd want to know what could happen... I'm glad you're okay, haha....
Oh, this? Don't worry about it! It's nothing a few days of rest or a Dia spell from Yukiko-chan can't fix. Normally, I know where I'm landing, that's all...
[The sword turns into a big block of metal, and Ryoji stumbles a bit, but places it back into his back pocket safely, then looks back at her. Something ELSE about him... probably seems... off. More human, maybe?]
... What about you? You're okay, right, Kyon-chan?
'Except off into the distance, maybe, but neither of us know what's out there. Probably best to make sure we're both okay.
....and why does he seem different than when I last saw him?'
Other than being sore where your elbow was in my kidney? I'm fine. Last thing I remember.... I was heading into the SOS clubroom. The next thing I know, I'm here.
I've hurt a cute girl! The world is going to fall on my head and scorn me, I just know it!
[... That might be a joke. ... Maybe. But after the drama, he shakes his head just slightly, and laughs a little.]
... Really, though. Man, am I glad you're okay. The extent of my skills? Light and Dark instant death, with some strength boosting for... killing things if they don't die from the spells. And if that fails, well... I just cleave the Shadows in half.
[He protests a bit, though, but eventually ends up sitting down, looking down at the empty expansive below them; around them.] ... I don't like this place... if something comes at us, I don't even KNOW if my Persona will work, here. It reminds me... of a lot.
[She rolls her eyes at the joke and sits down next to him.] And the best I've got is high school first-aid. That's it.
'And, I hate to admit it, but this place reminds me of one too many things I don't want to think about right now. All this fog? The monochrome? It's almost like being in Closed Space again.'
I don't like it here, either. 'But it doesn't look like there's a way out.'
[Ryoji frowns, but then looks at her, grinning quickly again.] Let's see... I can't summon my Persona out of the TV world, I've pretty much completely lost whatever power in connection to Nyx that I had before, and to top that off, the only thing I can manifest left of my original power is the sword my true form wields.
... And only with the aid of a medium. [He winks at Kyonko, not showing a single sign of the real worry he's feeling.] I don't know about you. but you know what? I think we're doing pretty good!
Besides, I'll protect you if anything happens. And I can still sense things. ... Sort of....
Well, clearly I'd be on the ground with my face in the dirt.
[Another smile.] I doubt there's anything here, though... but just to be safe... I want to look for any moons that might be nearby. You can stay here, if you want...? First things first, though.
[He pauses for a moment, thinking about something before flipping out a black and orange cell, pressing a few buttons. After a moment, he shakes his head.]
... Nothing. I can't contact anyone else. No signal; no internet... [And he begins to get up, winces a bit, but seems okay. At least he still healed fairly quickly.]
'Which reminds me.... why didn't my school bag come here with me? I had it on me when I went through the clubroom door!'
Why moons? [She gets up and dusts off her skirt.] And I'm going with you. There's no telling what's out there.
'Because it's common sense really. When in a place you don't recognize the last thing you should do is be alone. It's Horror Movie Survival Rule # 24!'
[There's a moment where Ryoji looks away from her, his expression difficult to see, but there's a clear pause before he finally smiles and turns around, a hand on his hip in that familiar position.]
... Just checking on something. [He quickly changes the subject, clearly lying, and turns around, still looking back at Kyonko.] "Always follow any lead during an investigation. Even the smallest tip could lead the largest possible arrest, or the solution to a large, difficult problem."
[And now he's walking North-bound. The view around them is steadily becoming odder; small signs of once-life on the rock, as though it had broke off of a planet, can be seen, and broken bits of mechanical parts are scattered around.]

TV? What TV?
'Just as much of a derp as the last one. Man, how do I always wind up in these situations?'
[She lets him help her up and then dusts off her skirt.]

What's wrong with your leg? [She says as she comes up beside him, glancing over, too.]

'I guess it isn't so bad. The company here could be worse, in the long run.'
Naoto teach you that?
'Why is everything here so.... dead? And why is there a bunch of machinery about?
Please don't tell me we're going to get attacked by giant robots anytime soon!'
What do you think all of this was?
'Is it all.... dead?'
