I'm not even going to look at the comments on Nightwish's Facebook fanpage and forums. I only got the email from the UK fanclub's newsletter on Monday when I was on the train back home. Hearing about Anette's recent illnesses and having to get a vocal replacement while she was off just gave me this gut feeling something was going to go wrong.
I'm sure it wasn't as melodramatic as Tarja's dismissal. Anette and the guys seemed to have a mutual agreement and it wouldn't surprise me if the touring was too much for Anette overall. I honestly thought Nightwish would continue for another few more years but sadly that era was not meant to be. I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum and can only wish Anette all the best for the future. I'm not going to point any fingers at anyone but this second vocalist departure is going to leave a bitter taste among fans' tongues. Asking for Tarja back is not going to happen and desperate old school fans need to calm down about that.
I am not familiar with Floor Jansen's work with After Forever and ReVamp but from what I've listened to her she sounds great and I like her Soprano vocals.
