I noticed Yahoo UK were trending True Blood on their website, assuming this was in light of its return to the FX channel. Season 4 just started here in the UK but I've already watched it xD.
This then lead me to this crazy article from the notorious Guardian website ~
Fooking 'ell Obviously it's attracted a lot of comments so here's the general gist of the article - it's all Twilight's fault which I kind of agree for emo vampires who sparkle blah blah. Zombies are glorified by Hollywood. I think the worst stereotype I saw in the article was I've tried to watch True Blood because other people insist it's worthwhile. Admittedly, most of those people have been women who dress their cats up as butlers Holy fack are you serious? Where did he get that idea and who has he been hanging around with? He seems internet savvy considering he mentioned communities on Tumblr and Livejournal. I'd give him a big cookie for his hard work if I wanted to but I won't.
I watch True Blood although I'm close to giving up on it as it's starting to frustrate me but dressing my cat up as a butler uh I have never done. Besides, my cat has gone so even if he was still here I wouldn't do such a thing. Yet this author never comments on people glamourising their dogs. Look, I do like dogs but I'm surrounded by so many who think felines are evil and that dogs are the best thing in the world so I'm suddenly labelled an oddball with weird taste. People judge me for liking Asian music and Animanga too *head meet desk.*
Stuart Heritage, I don't think you'd want to meet rabid Yaoi fangirls. Better turn away if you are so freaked out by these types. Since when the hell was True Blood *just* about shirtless men? Did he forget boobies?! There are even arse scenes by men and women. It appeals to any man or women regardless of their sexual preference who want some tongue in cheek p0rn (but there is some plot when you ignore the sex). I seriously doubt he's watched enough of True Blood to form an opinion. He should read the books if he dared. True Blood has gone in such a different direction and wasted quite a lot of storylines from the original Sookie books that could've been exciting to see in the TV series.
He seems kinder towards Being Human... for now. Season 3 was melodramatic and Mitchell's characterisation left me concerned but let's see what season 4 has with Hal and Pearl... and Mark Gatiss' guest appearance :3
I managed to find this response though -->
