Went to see Apocalyptica in London last Tues and they were just as awesome as the last time I saw them back in 2008. I bought the VIP ticket for the meet and greet and it's worth it if you don't want to wait around after the gig. Of course the cost is much more than the standard ticket price but you get to see the band in person where possible and don't have to fight as much... mostly. The Meet and Greet could have been better organised though. I'd have preferred an orderly line instead of a grab whoever is free to talk to for a photo or get autographs from.
But the band themselves were pleasant. Mikko and Perttu shook everyone's hands (37 fans in total at the meet and greet). Eicca hugged all the female fans and shook hands with the guys. I managed to get one autograph from Paavo and a pic with him, plus a pic with Perttu. He and Eicca were probably the most popular ones amongst the fans. I didn't get a chance to say hi properly to all four guys because we only had 45 mins in this meet and greet.
The doors opened at 7pm but we didn't have to go back outside. I was tempted to go to the front of the barrier though I was aiming for better pics or videos and decided to stay further back, near the sound control panel. I had a barrier in front to lean my arms on for the gig which made taking photos easier.
I'm still working on my pics right now but my videos have been uploaded :D
