summer of jrock pwnage

Wow X seems to be busy with their schedule. Yoshiki and Toshi will be in Japan Expo on 4 July, performing an acoustic set. Yoshiki and Sugizo will be at Otakon in America performing as well I believe. But would that just be instruments or would Toshi be singing along? Truth is, I kinda want to avoid making such errors from 3 yrs ago regarding Japan Expo. I rushed myself to the airport to get to Paris on a cheap flight and didn't even know Yoshiki's signing was for competition winners only. It was probably down to my bad researching (or even poor marketing by the organisers who knows?). At least this time round Japan Expo gives you the option to buy e-tickets. As much as I'd like to go - after all Seikima II are performing a gig and signing for fans - I've already spent a crapload on local gigs, books and travel to work.

I'd be interested to go to Otakucon but sadly it clashes with my hospital appointment and I would have just come back from holidaying in Malaga before preparing for Dir en grey's gig the following Tuesday. So yeah... everything seems too cluttered. iTunes haven't got that many acts I know very well at this year's iTunes festival but I did apply for tickets to see Ozzy Osbourne and Paloma Faith. So far no response. I doubt I won tickets anyway:/

I would really like to see Europe and Foreigner on 25 July however that's when I'm in Spain nooooo. I am not sure who is supporting who between these two bands but how's that for double 80s classic rock in one night eh? =)

Continuing the Jrock-ness, I have Gackt's first London gig lined up next month, followed by LFCC the following weekend. I might go to LFCC at a later time rather than the usual early bird hour since the guests attending haven't got my full interest that would prompt me to get to Earls Court asap. There's only Wendee Lee at the moment and she's one of the few English voice actresses I approve of when it comes to dubbed Anime. Might try to print pics of Faye Valentine or Komagata Yumi for her to sign if I decide to go. I still can't believe she was Kaolla Su.
