Books I wouldn't call myself a bookworm as I'm rather picky on what to read but when there's an interesting book about I'll do my best to finish it. Also I'm a poor reader whose understanding of plot, flashy words and many uses of grammar tends to fail a great deal so I would probably prefer to read something easy. Classics are normally out of my reach because the style of writing tends to be tricky to grasp if you're not a genius in English but I will try to get through them even though my past discomfort with English lit shows. Generally I like me a good book but it might take me forever to read through it ^_^;;
Tuomas Holopainen Tuomas is just... *sighs* :P. Right next to Yoshiki, he's a musician who goes deep in his work. A soft speaker in interviews but someone who shows immense passion in music. His music speaks for him. I like his creativity, how he can use his imagination to bring a story into his compositions and you see his inspiration of fantasy thanks to his love for Tolkien. The fact he also really likes Disney shows he is not afraid to embrace his inner child.
Dramas When I get into a series they tend to be cult dramas regardless of the genre. So long as it grabs me by the neck I'll watch it. I've watched Korean dramas, some period Chinese dramas, Taiwanese dramas and many series from US or UK :)
X Japan Oh X you made me appreciate Jrock, as did L'aruku. Without X Japan I wouldn't realise rock could be mixed with orchestra and that rock isn't just plain noise. They're the Jrock band who broke the barriers of my music tastes and I thank them for it. Art Of Life remains one of my top lengthy songs which go on the lines of epic.
Anime I haven't touched Anime as well as Manga in a very long time and have many series to finish. But I still keep a place in my heart for this art. I first got into Anime back in 1992 but officially became a 'fan' in 1998 no thanks to watching bits of Sailormoon and playing its many computer games XD Anime isn't something that can be taken lightly because of its more adult roots but it shouldn't be shunned as a particular genre that is simply disgusting or childish like all cartoons are meant to be. You can find series that isn't Hentai or for little children. Shame cynics can't embrace that possibility as freely.
