Only this time it's Robin Hood. Wow this is a first for me. Before it was mostly about Mako-chan and a bit of Rurouni Kenshin now it's Robin Hood the cheesy cracktastic BBC series. I've never thought about writing for the fandom until recently. Without a doubt that season 2 shocker of finale has understandably tickled many fans' muses, prompting them to write stories to calm themselves.
I suppose the last time I wrote angsty crack was through a Weiss Kreuz one-shot fic based on Schwarz from long ago. That was dreadful. Anyway I want to write an alternative side for the Guy/Marian bit near the end. It's probably been done already though. What I have spotted so far aside from the occasional smut are fics that went into detail on what was going through both Guy and Marian's heads so I guess that comes close to my intentional idea. Here's a one-shot I found -->
The Climax by
twinni_two Watched ep 1 of the new Sense & Sensibility mini-series last night. I want more, even though I know what happens since I've seen the 1996 movie that was directed by Ang Lee and read a bit of the book. The actor playing Edward Ferrars reminded me of Prince Edward in Enchanted XDD It was the hair that made me think this. I jumped alongside Elinor simultaneously when he made his appearance and was all, "ooh!!" For some reason when I saw Hugh Grant as Edward he seemed himself. Just being Hugh Grant, that is. I can't say much on Dan Stevens but he has rather nice eyes ^^;; And Andrew Davies, you're an Ecchi. If you see the steamy bits at the beginning you'll hopefully know what I mean.
The 1996 film was heartwarming and the actors were good (Kate Winslet as Marianne was <3 ) but I think at that time it didn't give me that enormous spark I felt when I watched Pride and Prejudice 1995. Perhaps it was because of the movie length. However I think I might try reading the book again and go through the old movie once more after I finish the new 3 part mini-series.
I connected more to Elinor in terms of character when I read the first half of the original book but at the same time adored Marianne's cuteness and romantic nature. I'm still getting that same feeling from watching the first ep when I observe the older Dashwood girls which is nice as the new actresses playing Elinor and Marianne are reasonable.
Willoughby ah he's good looking too but how does he do against David Morrissey as Colonel Brandon which was a role nicely done by Alan Rickman? He's charmed Marianne as expected. I'll have to watch him more to see how the actor is. Poor David Morrissey everytime I look at you I think of the psychological mess and BDSM experience you suffered under the hands of ice beauty Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct 2. In case anyone is wondering I didn't watch all of Basic Instinct 2 - just random scenes while I was zapping the TV.
