When Joseph Met Maria sounds like a fanfic ^^;; But oh my god my secret Sound of Music and Joseph fangirlness just went completely berserk.
Sure it was recorded a few days ago but guh...the music, the singing by the Josephs and Marias just had me entertained for a whole hour. Though I never followed How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria last year and only went by YT clips, I somehow felt the Marias were stronger vocally and performed slightly better than the guys however those Josephs who performed were still fabulous. No doubt Connie and Lee pwned their comrades. Their duet at the end where they sang POTO's All I Ask Of You was simply magnificent. Considering Lee was the understudy for Raoul on the POTO tour - it was awesome to see him be his POTO understudy self. Lee and Connie also kissed though too bad it was short XD I think they pulled off the Christine and Raoul duet nicely nonetheless.
Another great thing I enjoyed was when John Barrowman sang with the Marias and Denise Van Outen sang with the Josephs (ooh Denise you naughty woman, snogging Lewis at the end ~_^). I know John Barrowman's gay IRL but he kept on giving cheeky eye!porn with Denise while they sang White Christmas with everyone else at the end of the show. Plus I had no idea John Barrowman was kissing the Marias last year when they were all set such a a challenge. You girls really enjoyed yourselves, yes? =3
I'm very behind on Christian Bale movies but I managed to catch The Prestige last week on Sky Movies. The plot might be uninteresting on first glance because honestly the whole idea focuses on the rivalry between two magicians (god I was about to write musicians there - oops!!). The rivalry is so intense that later on it gets really personal. The thing you need to watch out for in this movie is the huge plot twists. They're unbelievable and hit you on the head a lot that you really ignore how much of a drag or boring the actual plot is. I won't add spoilers here because giving away the twists does ruin the story a bit.
Wolverine Hugh Jackman and Batman Christian Bale were pretty good as the rivals and trying to outsmart each other with their tricks. Christian Bale was doing a cockney (Londoner) accent. I'm not sure how to react to that in all honesty. It was something different. I'm used to him doing American accents XD. Hugh Jackman was playing an American guy again and he was hot ^^;; Scarlet Johansson you lucky girl you get to snog more pretty men. And she was doing a British accent encore une fois. Other surprises included Andy Serkin doing an American accent plus David Bowie disguised as a scientist. I had to blink a few times to check it was him. I recognised a bit of his normal voice beneath the Russian accent.
