NYC with Megan
Tuesday and today I was in NYC with Megan! We saw Wicked on broadway!!! HOLY SHIT I think that's the best broadway show I've seen so far! What have I seen so far?

Spamalot
Young Frankenstein
and now Wicked!
DAMN that girl who plays Elphaba can SING. 'Defying Gravity' took my breath away. O_O Go. See. This. Show.
But yeah, we took the bus up. Our hotel, The Da Vinici, was in a great spot. 2 blocks from Central Park, 6 blocks from the theater, Times Square was right there, and the bus station wasn't a far walk either. I'll have to remember this place.
We wandered around for a bit, then hung out at the room until the show. Afterwards we got dinner at Applebees... *shudder* the PRICES dear god. What the hell?? $15 for sliders that're $8 here. *sob* I died a little on the inside when I ordered them lol The mudslides had lots of alcohol in them; even Megan could taste it. o_O
Since the night was young we found an Irish pub to go to after dinner. Emmet O'Lunney's lol The bartenders were pretty cute :p We started with a shot of Jack Daniels XD I showed Meg up when I took it in one swig with no chaser. Bwahaha. On to a simple rum and coke, yum. Megan wanted to try something new, so she got a bloody mary. EEEEEWW. That shit tasted liked salty ketchup. >< I can't believe she drank the whole thing! Though, in her words, "It probably costs $10, of course I'm gonna drink the whole thing!" We then ordered another rum n coke, and the bartender gave it to us on the house. ^_^ AW! Then these guys started coming over and talking to us. They were firefighters from CA in the city for the St. Patty's Day parade the next day. It was flattering to be hit on, but at the same time kinda annoying. But whatever, they weren't rude or anything. Megan came up with this elaborate story about being engaged to Evan, and how he proposed to her in an auto shop. "I just went in to get my brakes checked and he proposed!" lol I can't believe this stuff just kept spilling outta her mouth; she's not much of a talker when she's sober. XD
We were outta there by 1 I think, and found our way back to the room. Today was spent hiking through Central Park, in search of the Balto statue. Which we did not find. *sigh* Turns out it's in some kid's park?? I dunno... whatever. We got to the bus station around 2 and just rested our aching feet until 3ish, when the bus came.
It was a short trip, but a pleasant one. Megan's not much for shopping with during the day, but she's a hell of a drinking buddy. :p
