So obviously I've been busy. Here's a summary of the latest:
1: As I previously mentioned, Marshall Fritz passed away on November 4th. I previously wrote about Marshall's impact on me. I'm saddened by his passing but thankful to have been the beneficiary of his influence for well over half my life. I could write a lot more, but I think I'll simply echo
Alan Schaeffer's echo of Marshall's oft-spoken parting phrase, "Goodbye, my friend." At the moment, a tribute to him is
posted here. For those who would like to do something in his honor, donations will be accepted by the Marshall Fritz Lectureship Fund at 1071 N. Fulton St., Fresno, CA 93728.
2: I'm in the middle of a rather lengthy trip. I had expected to catch up on a number of things while I was out, but I've had some schedule changes that resulted in several days off turning into working days. At the moment, it looks like I'm going to wind up with some time off starting this coming weekend, so maybe I'll get caught up then. I'll post the drama of the trip (there's plenty) separately.
3: I have accepted the invitation to return to the President job at the
Free State Project. I'm not quite up to speed yet, but I'm working on it now. Irena is having her second child and needed a break. I'm thankful that she was able to step up while I was tied up with my DC-10 upgrade. Now I'm ready to devote attention to the FSP again.
4: Speaking of the FSP, the election has been viewed by many liberty lovers as bad news. For the Free State Project, it is excellent news. I'll write in more detail later, but the short version is this: 4 early-mover FSP Participants were elected to the NH State House on November 4th. This actually improves on the trend started in 2006, which is impressive given the anti-liberty political climate that exists today.
