I read through this and nodded a lot. I wasn't so much offended. If anything, I found that I could really empathize with a lot of what I was reading. A mutual friend of ours then turned around and told me that reading this reminded them a bit of me. Congratulations, you remind someone of a neurotic Spaniard. ;-)

Seriously though, you are missed. We talk about you often and with fondness here, although it seems that many of our friends, myself included, are allergic to the phone. I know what you mean about wanting friends to play with but also wanting grounding in the real world. I think that's part of the reason I took a step back from the Camarilla -- I loved the friends I met through it but wanted to know if I'd be able to have conversations with them that didn't involve gaming, be it LARP or TT. And you know, the ones I've remained close to, I can.

I think you're at a point in your life where you're looking to cut out B.S. and find real connection, things that last and matter. Like I said, I can empathize with that. I feel like we could spend an entire evening talking, on the phone or in person, and still end up feeling like there was more to say. Seattle's not a magical fix-all for your problems, any more than it was mine. But, like me, you have a great deal of people up here who care about you, and time among them, whether short or long term, couldn't hurt.

I read this post and hear your voice. It'll be good to talk and see you again.
