Need power Goob help
Hey all, if you have but a moment...
I need your help, if you wish. But first some background information on background information. :)
I am preparing a super hero campaign to run. It will be using the Champions rules and I am going to try running multiple gaming groups. They may eventually do teamups or what have you. A few of them read this live journal (hey Andy, Flood).
The idea was to make the campaign be set in a more realistic tone with less Golden Age influences. It would be along the ideas of 'The Boys', Heroes and the Xman movies.
That said when building a character, each player has to choose a subtitle for their character. A subtitle was very popular in the DC universe. Some examples of Subtitles are:
Superman: The Man of Steel
Wonder Woman: Mile a Minute Maiden (old), Amazonian Warrior Princess (new)
Batman: Greatest Detective in the World, Dark Knight,
Flash: Fastest Man Alive
John Constantine: Hellblazer
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
Sentry: with the power of a thousand blazing suns
I list out a bunch of common nouns, adjectives and descriptors for them to choose from. The subtitle would require that the player define a concept for their character.
Now that your armed with that, I wanted to create a bunch of villains. I have written down a few dozen but want to go farther. Weirdly, as this is a pseudo realistic game, many times the players will never hear a superhero name per se. But I am always inspired by a name and description.
Some examples:
De Kommissar - Don't Turn Around
Glitter Doom/Gloom - Dancing Bladed Shadows
Kophjaegar - Nihilist Zombie
So what would your villain be? What about your inner villain?
