Baby making season?!

Alright... so it seems that all of my friends are

  • Pregnant
  • Think they're pregnant
  • Already had a baby

Christina Torres - went to school with her during my elementary and middle school years. She had a baby a boy named Xavier almost 2 years ago.
Ann Marie Martinez - went to school with her during my elementary school years. She had a baby this past Friday named Edward.
Christine Medina - went to school with her at Incarnate Word High School. Last I heard she was married to her Satanic boyfriend Erik... she also thought she was pregnant... that was December when I found all of this out. I've lost contact with her since. Her husband isn't very nice.
Chelsey Lynn Ochoa - went to school with her at Incarnate Word High School. She had unprotected sex with her boyfriend of two months (?) yesterday. He came in her... now she's afraid she's pregnant. Only time will tell if it's true.

My mother once brought something up which actually... well I don't know how to feel about it.
She was getting on my case on me not attending school. "You're wasting your time Vanessa!!!" blah blah blah "It's been 9 months! NINE MONTHS! Do you know how long that is!? You could have had a baby by now!!!" O_O

You don't say that kind of thing to me and expect me to forget it. That wasn't her best argument. The message I got was that having unprotected sex is more productive than not going to school. Albeit, it is...er... more "productive" if you catch my drift... but not the best motivational speech..... I'm sure if I were to get pregnant.... she wouldn't be happy. Of course I'd keep the baby... abortion is not an option

And I share that decision with my mother. I'm against abortion... but I believe in a woman's rights to choose. I would choose to keep the baby even if I was raped, whereas another woman might decide to have an abortion. Although I'd frown upon that I would respect her decision. Why? Well if the United States were to outlaw abortion, what makes you think the practice would cease to exist? Sure it's outlawed... but that wouldn't stop desperate women. Abortion would now take place in hazardous facilities... the back of alleys, unsanitary tools....that would put the woman's life at risk. Not to mention the procedure would be extremely painful, and the psychological turmoil that would take place afterwards would be catastrophic. It'd make good business for psychologists though.
