Being held accountable is something people do not like. A person who refuses to be held accountable is not trustworthy. When someone is confronted about their actions and words, they will lie and deceive and they will try to justify their wrong doing by placing the blame on someone else, therefore becoming irresponsible. Freedom of speech does not mean you are guaranteed the right to say whatever you want to say and not face the consequences. We are all accountable for what we say and do.
If you are an athiest outside the church doors, you better not step inside those doors to participate in any church activities. Brother, you are accountable!
You are accountable to yourself to be either a believer or a non believer...you can't be both. You live a lie when you try to be one thing to one person and something else to another.
You are accountable to your parents who want to believe the best about you. Can you justify your actions when they discover the truth and ask you why? Will you accuse your friends of influencing you? Your parents will know how deceiving and untrustworthy you really are. You are accountable to your friends. They will know that you couldn't take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions.
You are accountable to the church and all its members for participating in thier worship which you ridicule as soon as you exit their presence. They will recognize you as a deceiver.
You are accountable to God who did create you. He breathed the breath of life into you. He gave you an existence in a world that He did create, and He let His Son and die so you could receive a pardon for what you've done. You become more accountable to God every time you step inside those church doors. He gave you the priviledge to make a choice.
A person would be better off never to have heard the Truth than to have heard and denied it. If you have heard the Word of God, you are accountable.
Do you fear that a time will come when you are asked to give an account?
