No problem! The back synopsis is what convinced me. Then to get back a friend told me it was book two. Could it stand alone?

I always do my best to make the books stand on their own; in this case, I'm hearing from readers that the book works that way, but that the story is enhanced by having read the first. That's something I think can be said about most series. 8)

Thanks! I will hold off until I can order the first book. I rather read it properly, enhance the world by reading in the proper order
