I'll have an awesome interview up later today with
Jeri Smith-Ready, whose YA novel SHADE debuts today.
In the meantime, I wanted to touch on two good causes. First, you've all heard about the floods in Nashville (and if not,
here's an article you can read for an idea of the extent of the damage). One of my very best friends has been forced out of her home, which is knee deep in water. I asked her if she had an idea of the charities that were quick with the aid there, and she said she'd already seen Red Cross shelters up. I've noticed with other disasters that they're often among the first responders, so for those who want to help with a donation,
here's their site. If anyone wants to suggest other worthy charities, I'd welcome the info.
Also, it's time again for Brenda Novak's on-line auction to benefit diabetes research. This is a remarkable thing she does, and you can see the offerings
here, including jewelry, purses, food, critiques, meetings, etc. Mine (a thirty-page critique and follow up coffee at RWA or phone conversation should the face to face not be possible) is
here.
Happy Release Day to
Elise Hyatt for her second Daring Finds Mystery,
FRENCH POLISHED MURDER, and to
Jasmine Haynes for her new erotic novel
HERS FOR THE EVENING!
