012. Of birthdays and Christmas in September
i. Personal Update. So I turned 20 last August so I decided to finally push through with a Harry Potter themed birthday party. Those that follow me on Tumblr know how rushed this all was (literally started planning the party 2 days before the date), but I liked how it turned out. I even managed to convince my mom to make pumpkin soup, and my friend to mix us some alcoholic drinks that looked like pumpkin juice.
+ Turns out I volunteered for loads of events and all my commitments are killing me.
+ THESIS GTFO OF MY LIFE
+ I'm starting to plan out a long break after I graduate. Loads of traveling (US, Canada, Australia, maybe Italy if I'm lucky) and I'm also looking into scholarships for a history undergrad or a masters.
ii. It's only September, but I'm excited to start working on my Christmas packages this year. It's the first time I'm sending so I really want to plan this well, taking into account the time for transportation and thinking up of gifts, so you guys can get it on time or at least by New Years.
+ Right now, I need to know who is interested in getting a package from me. I don't need addresses yet, just a "show of hands" of who's interested. What I'm sending will be based on what I think you'll enjoy but if you have any suggestions, feel free to give them too.
+ Because of financial constraints, I'm limiting the number of receivers to 10. There are some people I've promised to, so I'll have to count them in.
iii. I started on three shows since my last update: Parks and Recreation, Supernatural, and Downtown Abbey. Yes, because I needed more shows to be emotionally invested in instead of doing my homework. Apparently, looking at my life and my choices does not make me any better at either. It doesn't help that most of you are enablers who introduce me to such amazing shows that I tend to forget what real life is.
iv. HELLO NEW FRIENDS! I don't know what lured you into adding me after my lack of any proper post in a while, but I'm glad you did. Hopefully, I'll get to know each one of you better as you stick around. Special shout outs to my friends from tumblr: courtisanes (Ana), loner_angel (Amanda), goldenrosalie (Olga), and cityhallcupcake (Amy, today's birthday girl)!
