I saw nomar on sportscenter this morning doing an interview. The host asked him what it was like getting a standing ovation from the cubs fans and he said it was awesome, he got chills and it is something that I'll never forget. He then asked do u have vennum towards the front office and nomar said that is not what i am going to remember at all. I remember the great fans in Boston. I'll always remember the standing ovations they gave me and even after I came back from my injury they stood and cheered every time I came up to bat. The fans there appreciate what I do and they know that I go out there everyday and do my best. The next question was did you cry when you found out that you had been traded? Nomar said absolutely, absolutely. He was then asked if he had thought about a cubs vs red sox world series and he said of course, who hasn't? It's crossed everyone's mind. I don't care who it's against as long as I get there.
Nomar, you deserve everything you have and I hope you win a world series soon because you have absolutely earned one. I really appreciate what and all you've done for us and there is no other player like you. Make sure the fans in chi town take good care of you. We will always miss you. You will always and forever be a red sox and there will always be a place for you in our hearts.
