Late night Sunday Television
Oh my ... the last time I watched something so crazy was back in second year university when i saw a animated short film call ed Bambi meets Godzilla. That was at 5 am and last all of 30 seconds.
Tonight ... I was just about to head off to bed and turn off the television when a twisted martial arts kung-fu comedy movie, according to the website made it into theatres somewhere ... or it could be just a gag. The movie is Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. The movie is an old 70ish chinese movie where the old main charactor was taken out and the new charactor was added in using blue screen. I actually did think it was on old 70's movie with VERY bad dubbing for the first half hour.
What really gave it away that it was a fake old chinese movie. It wasn't the kung fu baby (stuffed doll) in the beginning, it wasn't the quick breast shot of the main girl in the movie (that is taboo back then, and actually added in), and the fact that the HOT Kung Fu master chich has one boob with low cut costume. What really gave it away ... was the addition of Hooters in one of the town shot... and later on, the animation added into it. Such as the kung fu cow tied in with Matrix famous bullet scene, the Lion King where the father comes out of the clouds and talks to the hero, and the old startach cell phone.
Movie was completely retarded yet somewhat funny for late night, right down to ground hog nun-chuks, boom box with MC Hammer as the back ground fighting sound track, and clips of Star Gate, Mortal Combat, Austin Powers, set to the same theme as Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury.
I should be sleeping now.. but the kung fu cow is fucking hilarious.... of course it advertises itself with a sequel set to Star Wars Episode 1.
