Greetings from the not so sunny Bay of Plenty
The weather today has been nuts. This morning it was nice and sunny if a little cold and I had to go into town for an appointment and to go to the library. As I was leaving town to go home all hell broke loose, as I left the Strand it was only drizzling and only the slightest hint of thunder in the distance. By the time I reached the highway five minutes later it was bucketing down and lightning was blasting around everywhere and then the hail started it was absolutely nuts.
Tauranga got it worse with Hailstones the size of golf balls 10cm thick. On the news it showed people snowboarding on the beach afterwards and part of the roof of Bayfair collapsed … which sucks as I was planning to go there tomorrow.
