Two of my bestfriends are traveling to Korea (south of course) this December. The plane ticket's really cheaaaap and spending 5 Seoulful days can be very enticing but I figured I'd rather spend my last Christmas break as a college student in the Philippines. I might regret this later on but mehh more promo fares await me. Maybe I'll go with Ayisse after graduation. Idurrknow.
I have loads to accomplish in hopefully what will be my last semester in college. Plus a lot of exciting things are happening in our laboratory. We're coming up with this system that can gauge the amount of rainfall in a certain area and the info can be disseminated quickly yadiyaaa. The entire Geology department's pretty busy with storm and flood-related research.
500 Days of Summer!!!
Ilovethismovie. The quirkiness, for me, was not contrived and I think the casting's really good along with the screenplay, directing, editing, ost, etc. I especially like how it's non-linear. The execution of the reality/expectations part blew me away. They played two songs by Regina Spektor and I love the fact that when those two songs were played, two frames were also simultaneously shown. Gahh I can't even bring myself to describe the tiny details without gushing. But what I not-so-secretly loooove about 500 Days of Summer is how it paved the way for my discovery of the awesomeness that is Matthew Gray Gubler who played one of Tom's bestfriends, Paul. Try visiting his website GUBLERLAND!!! Almost everything is sketched or written by him. And I found out that he directed the "Don't Kill Me Santa" video of the Killers which happens to be my FAVORITE KILLERS VIDEO OFALLTIME. lol how dramatique.
