mind games
Battle Royale: Mindoro Edition will kick off next week. So our geology class will be spending an entire month in Mindoro for our summer fieldwork and I'm mighty anxious aboudeet. We have to take anti-malarial pills although the area's not really malaria-infested but just for precaution or whatevs. The thing is the side effects of taking these meds are depression, anxiety, nightmares, aggression, insomnia, etc. So basically it's either you die of mosquitoes or you become suicidal. Personally, I'm still playing with the idea of just evading all the mosquitoes. hah. But these pills might do me good actually cos I'm so fcking giddy all the time. Hmmm so yeah, we decided on calling this fieldwork Battle Royale cos I suggested it and my classmates had no clue what the hell I'm talking about but they agreed anyway cos I'm manipulative that way. I brought a copy to school earlier and we all crowded around my laptop. It was awesome. We took a break from map-making and brainstormed for strategic weapons. Yeeeah.
A friend celebrated his birthday/graduation and I didn't go because I'm an awful person. I felt guilty cos I was really planning to go but I just felt so tired after an entire day of exams and map-making (and watching Battle Royale)and I have to do a group paper tomorrow. Blaaaaah. I'll probably regret not going when I check multiply tom.
Moozeek! The Strokes have officially stated that they've started making new songs for the fourth record and I'm really looking forward to this album since it's their first album after a long hiatus and after most of the bands have done their own stuff so the outcome's really excitiiiiiiiing. The new YYYs album is fantastic! My favorite track is Hysteric. And the acoustic version is absolutely breath-taking. I fantasize about Karen O being my older sister. But her level of awesomness would just astound me. Regina Spektor will also be releasing a new album this June!!! I hope with all the bits of my heart and soul that she'll do a collab with The Strokes for her and their upcoming album.
FOTC moved back to NZ to shepherd some very lucky sheep. And I've lagged so much with House, I'll just wait til the season ends. What has become of my tv life?! It's practically non-existent. :(
