It has been awhile for a full on journal of my thoughts, and real life workings.

My life seems to be in limbo the way nothing is happening during my summer. I'm not going to go through my whole 'because I hate being idle' spiel, but it still comes down to that feeling. I am disappointed in myself for not reading as much as I would like, but starting today I'll be picking that back up and for the month of July I'd like to read two books at least to completion. These two are One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien. The Silmarillion is a long shot in my opinion considering its lengthy page number and typical J.R.R Tolkien writing style, but I adore Elves so much that it'll be worth the lengthy read. I also started reading the books I bought for four dollars at a bookstore in the heart of Columbus. I was spending my Spring break with a friend and her mother took us to a old bookstore called the Book Loft I believe, and wow-so amazing. The author of these books I bought had actually popped his head in an hour before we arrived and asked if he could sign his work for them. It was amazing! So not only do I have these books my friend recommended to me highly (who is also an elf lover) but they are signed copies! I have two at least that are signed. The others I bought are from Barnes & Nobles.

After I clean the house again I am going to sit down and watch Lord of the Rings. I'm not sure which one as I have seen them all too many times to remember (over 30-I know that). I'll probably watch The Fellowship as it is my favorite of the three. A lot of that is simply because the council/forming of the fellowship is one of my favorite parts in the series. (Although minus my favorite character Glorfindel from the books.)

Moving back to my own personal life (though my life seems to currently revolve around books and movies) my mother has forbid me to go to my grandparents house with her for three days straight. She has been venturing to my grandparents house these past few days and she says I'm not allowed to go due to it being a secret. Therefore it has something to do with my birthday and I have no idea what it is they're doing up there! I know for a fact that is not a PS3, a bedroom set (my mother has been threatening to buy me one because she doesn't like that I sleep on a mattress on the floor), or anything I asked for on my list. Why you ask? Well because everything on my list is a book or a movie (proving my point my life revolves around books and movies). I'm fairly certain that whatever they're doing up there is either a. something being built or b. a large quantity of something or other. I honestly have no idea what it is, and I'm really good at guessing what my stuff is from simple elimination.

I'm 50/50 with this whole surprise business as I usually either love what my mom buys me or dislike it greatly. She is good about getting what I ask for, but these past two years she has been doing what she wants with buying me stuff and for the most part I've been a bit disappointed. I'm not spiting on my mother's kindness, it is just that sometimes I wish my family would just buy what I ask for and not get me something strange.

Here's what I've been thinking thus far about what it might be. I know it is not a car or anything like that because I can't drive. (Legally.) It must not be a bedroom set simply because my mother would not be there for days if she had bought me one. I told her that I hope she is not building me a bed and she said, "Why would I do that?" I HAVE NO IDEA MOTHER BUT YOU ACT AS IF YOU ARE BUILDING SOMETHING BY HOW MANY TIMES YOU ARE GOING OVER THERE. To be honest if they are "making" something I just cannot wrap my head around what that would be. I thought for a bit along the lines of college related but I already have a refrigerator, and my grandparents already told me they are buying me a tv. I thought they might be building me a bookcase, but that seems strange when you can buy them for 20 bucks at Walmart/Target and I already have a bookcase... It might be a dresser for my clothes but I was already told by my brother it is not something from a bedroom set. It could be a desk-I hadn't though of that, but I truly doubt it. I keep thinking along the lines of building something because they've been over there for three days now for quite a few hours. So whatever they're doing over there is either building something, or organizing something. Well it will certainly be a surprise whatever it is they're doing as my mind is exhausted from thinking about the whole thing.

Oh and I went to the orthodontist yesterday about removing wisdom teeth. I will be having them removed the day after my birthday on the 24 of July. On the 26 I'll be going with my family to Pennsylvania for my brother's weekend hunting camp. I guess this is an early "I'll be on hiatus" seeing as how all of my relatives have internet but do not know the password to their internet for me to access the network. So I'll have my laptop just in case, but knowing my Aunt Karen-she'll have no idea what her password is.
