Joseph loves springy doorstops. Not wanting him to get his fingers caught in the springs, and worried that he'd eat the ends off of any solid doorstop placed at floor level, I replaced the doorstops with thin felt pads placed at doorknob height. I did this last night. This morning, as soon as Joseph's rear end touched the floor, he was off to get the doorstop, only to find that it wasn't there. He contemplated this for a minute, and then looked up, noticed the felt pad, which is still out of reach over his head, and went about trying to figure out how to get to it. So far he hasn't come up with anything, but I fear that any day I'm going to look up to see a stack of toys piled below and Joseph sitting atop them with a big felt pad in his mouth.
